Vanilla Twilight

The stars lean down to kiss you
And I lie awake and miss you
Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere
'Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly
But I'll miss your arms around me
I'd send a postcard to you, dear
'Cause I wish you were here

*Vanilla Twilight Lyrics by Owl City*

Zayn had fallen head over heals for his true love Ariella. But something happened that should never happen to a love so strong. Two became one. Zayn didn't handle it so well. He kept up with his feelings in his journal. He thinks nobody knows what happens. But everybody does. The worst part, Zayn doesn't want to accept that it did.

Anaise is a quiet and shy girl who is looking for somebody to love her. She is trying to look for a place in this world. Little does she know what the world has in store for her.

What happens when these 2 cross paths?
Will he leave the past behind and look at what's in front of him?
Will she accept him in her heart?

16. Chapter 15

Anaise's POV

The whole ride back to the hotel Zayn didn't say a word. I hadn't bothered either because I was too afraid that I would just end up saying the wrong thing and getting him mad. I didn't dare to bring this up.

I felt a little on edge when I was around them. I know they meant no trouble but it was just how Zayn reacted.

We finally arrived at the hotel and Zayn got out as quick as possible, not even waiting for me. What a gentleman. He seemed so anxious to just get back to his room that he stumbled over his own feet on his way towards the elevators.

I had to slightly jog just to catch up to him. As soon as the elevator stopped on our floor, Zayn took off again, completely ignoring me.

"Zayn." I tried to reason with him but he was so stubborn.

"Zayn! Stop!" I ran passed him and stopped right in front of his door, blocking his way of getting in. I could tell that he was getting agitated by the look on his face. I didn't care though. I needed to help him.

"Zayn. Please stop, we can talk this through. There's no need to run away from your problems." His eyes grew darker as I said my words.

"I'm not the one running away from my problems. I wasn't the one who moved half way across the world just to forget about somebody who they'll never see again!"

I dropped my arms and let them fall to my side. I can't believe he would say such a thing.

"And to think I trusted you." I told him feeling tears build up in my eyes. His face softened dramatically probably just now taking in what he had said.

"Ana..I...I didn't mean it. I'm sorry..please..just....just don't leave me. Don't give up on me like everybody else has. Please." His eyes had a gloss over them that wasn't there before. They were desperate and pleading. Being the person that I am, I embraced him in a hug.

"I won't. I can promise you that." We pulled away and we were looking at each other. He kept glancing at my eyes and then down to my lips. I had a feeling of what was to come next.

Then in one swift motion, he hooked his arms around my waist and pulled me closer so our faces were inches away.

"Good." He whispered. One second I could feel air against my lips, and then the next, I could feel his warm lips crash onto mine. Soon they were moving together as if they were in a dance.

All too soon for my liking, he pulled away and we were both panting for air, our faces still in close proximity with our lips brushing against each others.

"I should probably get back to my room." I whispered to him. He smiled and pecked my lips once more.

"Yeah you probably should. See you  in Paris Ana."

Oh god, this chapter is pretty bad but I had to put something up. I kinda felt like I was abandoning this story.
