They hide in the darkness and the shadows, they hunt you till your back is against the wall and there is no where left to run. They feed off your fear, and rejuvenate themselves with your blood. They are the undead.

There is a way to survive, they will not harm you if you know they are their, It's their only law, their only rule. So if you want to stay alive. Turn around.

1. The Chase

Run. Go. Fear.

It was getting closer, it's footsteps echoed on the concrete pavement.

Run. Go. Fear. Run. Go. Fear.

Around the corner, into the ally. If she got  far enough maybe it would vanish; like the sun in a rain storm. Just a few more steps. Just... A... Little... Bit... More...

Yet it seemed the more the girl ran; the louder the footsteps got. She didn't dare to turn around to see the one who chased her. Turning around would mean slowing down. She couldn't slow down.

Run. Go. Fear. Run. Go. Fear. Run. Go. Fear. Trapped.

The girl hit a dead end, there was no where left to run. She considered screaming but who would hear her? No one lived in that portion of town; it was just the where houses that had been abandoned some time during the war between the red coats and the blue's. Instead the tears began to fall and she collapsed onto her knees, her head rested against the brick wall.

The footsteps came to a stop and his presence radiated throughout the air like thick, black smoke. It was suffocating.

"Please, just... Just make it quick." The girl begged. If nothing else, she needed this one thing, this one sliver of dignity. She could accept it, but only if she died as a nameless face and not a scared little girl.

"Turn around." Her killer, well, near killer, demanded. The girl could only shake her head. She wouldn't do it, wouldn't allow him to take her life and her integrity. "Please, turn around." He begged now. It was almost enough to make her change her mind, but no, she needed this. Needed this chance to keep her pride intact.

"Please just... Just do it." She begged. Then she was being hauled up and smashed against the ally wall, face first. It hurt, but the pain was a good distraction.

"I'm sorry." He whispered. That was the end, of Danielle Richter.
