Turn Around (The coldest girl in Coldtown competition)

Did you ever feel like you were being watched, like the monster under your bed isn't just a childhood fear. Well you're right.

They hide in the darkness and the shadows, they hunt you till your back is against the wall and there is no where left to run. They feed off your fear, and rejuvenate themselves with your blood. They are the undead.

There is a way to survive, they will not harm you if you know they are their, It's their only law, their only rule. So if you want to stay alive. Turn around.

12. Baby Sister

I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me.

Baby sister, baby sister, baby sister. The words twisted my gut in all the wrong ways. Impossible, it was the only word I could use to describe it. My head shook profusely from side to side, as if trying to shake away the accusation.

Baby sister, baby sister, baby sister.

"No, you're... you're not my brother, I don't have a brother!" I denied vehemently, wide eyed and disbelieving. My brother was dead, my father had said he died. He wouldn't have lied to me, not about that.

"Are you positive about that, Willow? You don't look so sure." He smirked, oh that smirk. I wanted to knock it off his face, this wasn't funny.

Anger flared in retaliation to his sick jokes and I took a threatening step forward, only to be dragged away.

"Knock it off Cody, we need to sit down and talk about this, rationally." Damien hissed the last word. He moved in front of me, as though to block me from Cody's onslaught of accusations.

"It's not true, it's not true, it's not true." I whispered over and over again, almost as though to convince myself of it rather than the two guys standing in front of me.

Still, there was this spark of doubt in the back of my mind, was it possible dad had lied to me? That seems to be his speciality, my sub concious laughed at me in her evil, cynical tone.

We sat down in the room next to the one I had woken in, there sat a table and four cushioned chairs. I stared at Cody the whole time through narrowed eyes and thought over my father's words.

No that wasn't true, he didn't lie. He wouldn't lie.

"My brother is dead, my father wouldn't lie to me." I said, so sure, yet so unsure.

"I never said he would, for all intense and purposes he was telling the truth. I am technically dead." Cody explained, motioning to himself.

As I took him in I could see what he meant; his skin wasn't yet a corpse grey, but shockingly pale. His blue eyes seemed dull, hardly any shine to them, still they sparkled more than Damien's.

"But you were a little boy then, if they changed you then you'd still be a little boy." I accused, refusing to believe that this boy, was my brother.

"I aged until I turned eighteen, baby sister, I'm half vampire," Cody replied somewhat smugly, arrogant prick. What did he expect, for me to have read a damn encyclopaedia on them? "And so, are you." he practically whispered the last part.

Of course I already knew this but to have it said out loud, it knocked the wind out of me. For a moment I forgot how to breath, and the scary part was that I didn't know if I even needed to breath.

Damien was glaring at Cody with such burning anger it was a shock that the poor boy wasn't on fire, though I could hardly focus on that with the pounding going on it my head. What was my brain doing, construction work?

"Okay, so what else, any other surprises anyone wants to spring on me while I'm still vulnerable, or have we just about covered it?" I asked raggedly, staring down at the table like it was more interesting than watching the Titanic sink, my head cradled between my hands.

"Well there is the-" Cody began but was cut off when Damien elbowed him in the stomach, ouch.

"Nope, not a thing. We got it all." Damien said in a hurry, like trying to cover up whatever Cody was about to say. I would have protested and demanded to know, but something told me ignorance was bliss. Looking at a clock on the wall I saw it was nearly midnight, well shit. Dad would kill me in the morning, maybe it was best to stay away for tonight...

"Guys can I-"

"There is a spare room down the corridor, first door to your right." Cody cut me off with a smile, first one to cross the boy's face all freaking night.

I thanked him with a smile and left to find the room, inside it was all white accept for the bed which was covered in black, floral silk. It was so comfortable I drifted off to sleep, plague by bad dreams.

So what do you think Cody was going to say? Something good or bad? I want you to decide what you think he was going to tell her and answer down in the comments :) bye for now.
