She finds herself working in a cancer hospital after a new form of cancer breaks out this ones contagious. But how will she react when she finds out she will have 5 famous volunteers under her authority, and what happens when she find herself in love with one or maybe more of them.

1. Headed Towards The Light

I Was so warm under my covers and I found myself burrowing deeper into my bed until I heard the doorknob rattle and the door to my bedroom swung open. Then a tall dark figure stood in the doorframe and my heart began to beat 1,000 miles a minute as he approached my bedside.

"You've been a naughty, naughty girl Allison," the man chuckled. The inside of nose began to burn and I immediately smelled the liquor on his breath.

Before I knew it a sharp pain went through my body and blood gushed out of my side from being thrown from my bed as I looked down shards of glass stuck out of the fresh wound.

The shadowy man aproached me grabbing me by the hair and drug me down the hall, my side hitting the doorframe on the way out and I let out a screech and immediately thought what have I done.

"How man times have I told you to sh-sh-shut your damn mouth!" he slurred spitting on my face.

He proceeded to drag me into the kitchen and his grip tightened on me as he threw me onto the dining room table, causing me to slip in and out of consciousness. He left the room briefly and return with a coal iron from the fire place newly shining in the dimly lit room. He climbed on top of me the liquor burning my nose.

"This is what you get for being a  b-bad girl." he whispered into my ear and his hand wraped around my neck and hot tears began to burn my dry cheeks and I could only manage two words.

"Please ... Dad!" I squeaked gasping for air, but it made no difference.

He Lifted the iron and I tried to brace myself, but I was to weak, and he gave me two swift whacks to the face the first hitting across my eyebrow and the second my cheek bone.

He got of and I knew this was my only chance to get away as he turned away I disorientedly ran for my room slamming the door behind me shoving my dresser infront of it. I quickly called 911.

"911 what is your emergency?"

"Please Help ME!" I screamed hearing it crackle on the other end.

"Ma'am please call down tell me what's happening." the women said calm but demanding, as the bedroom door began to be forcefully opened.

"My dads trying to kill me please come quick, or I'll be dead when you get here." I said with no emotion in my voice

"Hold on! Their on there way!" she said.

The door flew open and he forcefully punched me 3 hard times and everything went black.

I woke up screaming with a cold sweat running down my face. This wasn't just a nightmare this actually happened to me when I was 15 years old.

"Fucking Hell!" I then realized just how alone I was.

It's been 2 months since I moved to Mullinger, Ireland and I have had these nightmare since, but before i moved I was in an out of group homes until I turned 18, and since then I have been working as a volunteer here since the NZ6 cancer broke out.

I got out of bed to get some hot tea and go back to sleep when the phone rang, it was 3:00 a.m.

"Hello?" i said cautiously wondering who would call me at 3 a.m.

"Ally it's Amery," I could hear him heave through the phone,
"Come quick it Solomon!" he said.

I strip of my pajamas and put on jeans a t-shirt and jacket and ran out the door of my flat. Solomon is a 7 year old boy that Amery brought over from Africa when he was 3 after both his parents died from NZ6 that's swept through Malawi and he latched onto me ands like my little brother now. The adrenaline was pumping through my veins. I got there and sprinted into the NZ6 quarantine camp.

"Ally!" Amery shouted and I ran for The Corridor B. When I got there my worst fears had come true. Solomon had been fighting a mild case of NZ6 that wasn't contagious yet and I was his caretaker.

"Ally, we're losing Solomon!" he said.

"Which room!" I shouted.

"Room 1214! Hurry he doesn't have much longer!" Amery shouted as I ran down the halls to room 1214.

When I got there, out of breath, I walked over to his bed side, and sat down next to the most precious thing in my life, and the only thing I genuinely called family.

A hot tear went down my face, and I closed my eyes then I felt a small, but surprisingly warm hand, stroke my cheek. I looked up to see Solomon gazing into my eyes.

"Ally why you crying for me?" he asked, and his little accent made tears well up even more. I just looked at him knowing he wasn't going to be with me soon.

"I just don't want to say goodbye to you, you're mtu mdogo wangu." I said (mtu mdogo wangu means my little man)

"No matter what I will always be with you even in spirit I love you Ally you are my sister don't forget me... Ok?" he said hoarsely and a steady tears streamed down his face.

"I will never forget you Solomon you have given me something to live for, I love you so much." I cried.

"I just don't want to leave you alone." he whined.

"It's ok you can go baby its alright I'll be ok, go to sleep" I said trying to keep it together for him.

"Something else though, come here." he said and I came closer.

"Upendo mimi ingawa im wamekwenda, it means love me even though I'm gone." I silently cried into his neck and he gently hugged me.

"An don't Forget to meet One Direction for me." he giggled, and I just smiled.

"I will, now get some rest, I love you Solomon." I sniffled

He closed his eyes and for the last time, and kissed me on the cheek as I fell asleep next to him, holding his hand all night. When I woke in the morning he was gone.

"Damn it!" I screamed. Kicking over the table and sitting on the floor crying. What was left of the heart in me was melting away. Solomon was really gone, and this was the beginning to a whole new level of hell.
