7. Seeing the City

I walked out of the airport holding Connor's hand. Thankfully he didn't get in trouble for punching Danny. But it was all over twitter.

"So, where do you want to go?" Connor asked. "We have the whole day to see the city. May I suggest the wonderful sweet shop, not too far from our hotel."

"Sounds great."

"Awesome, we'll go after we check in."

The shop was filled wall to wall with all sorts of chocolates, taffies and other goodies.

"Wait till you taste the hot cocoa." Connor said. He went up to the counter and ordered two mint cocoas. I could smell the mint as soon as they started making them. The woman topped them with a mountain of whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

"Here you go." She said, handing us the cups. I took a sip and Connor started laughing.

"What?" He wiped my nose with his thumb and licked his finger. He then proceeded to kiss my nose.

"You know, hot chocolate doesn't make much sense in the middle of July right?" I asked.

"But it's do good." Connor said.

"You guys are too cute together." The woman behind the counter commented. "How long have you been going out?"

"Six months Friday." I said, kissing Connor's cheek.

"Wait, you seem familiar." She said. "I know, you guys are on YouTube. Lillian and Connor."

"You've caught us." Connor gasped, faking shock. I giggled. "You a fan."

"Absolutely. I've seen every video."

"Cool." I said.

"Well, it was nice meeting you Cathy." Connor said, reading her name tag. "But we have to go."

"It was nice meeting you too." She called to us as we walked out the door.

"Sup bitches." Coming up behind us was none other than Tyler Oakley. "How's it going?"

"Hey Tyler." I said. "Pretty good. Connor punched my ex boyfriend. We've got hot cocoa."

"In the middle of July?" Tyler raised an eyebrow.

"You've clearly never had this cocoa." Connor defended.

"Anyway. So Lillian, how's the college hunt going?"

"Oh, I didn't tell you yet. I got accepted to Stanford for creative writing." I announced.

"That's great. Good for you."

"Connor and I are looking for off campus apartments together."

"I'm so happy for you." Tyler congratulated. "Now, full ride?"

"You know it. I could never afford it on my own." I took a big sip of my cocoa and smiled.

"Babe," Connor said. "You've got a little something right there." He pointed to my upper lip.

"Again? Really?" He handed me a napkin which a happily took.

"Anyway," Tyler said, changing the subject. "Why don't we take a cab over to Times Square?"

"Sounds good to me." I said.

"I'm in." Connor shrugged.

"Let's go then. Shall we?"
