8. my secret's out

The next day I was getting ready in mine and Connor's hotel room for the convention. I finished putting on my mascara as Connor wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah. Just give me a second." I put on some lipgloss and grabbed my purse.

"Now I warn you, there are fangirls gathering around the building. Are you ready for this?"

"Hell yeah." I put on my sunglasses and walked hand in hand out of the building with Connor.

We stepped outside and were met with hundreds of fans. How they knew what hotel we were staying at I have no clue. Connor laughed and signed a bunch of autographs.

"How do you get used to this?" I asked, signing a girl's book. "I don't think I ever will."

"After a while it becomes routine." Connor replied.

"Oh come on. You mean it's not surprising for you when you get a bunch of fans showing up?"

"I think it's amazing." He shrugged.

"Hey!" A girl yelled. "Can I get a picture of you guys?"

"Sure." I said, kissing Connor's cheek as they snapped pictures.

"Come on! I can't put that on my blog!" Connor laughed and kissed my lips.

"That's better!" She said.

"Well, we need to get to the convention!" I said, waving as we walked away.

"That was kind of fun." I admitted. "It's nice knowing that you make people happy."

"I actually had one girl send me a letter a few years back that my videos saved her life. She didn't put a name and to this day I don't know who it is. I'd like to meet her one day. Hopefully she's still doing alright."

"I can assure you she is." I said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"You know her?" We stopped walking.

"I am her." I admitted, tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He sad down on a nearby bench an pulled me down next to him.

"I was going to tell you but I didn't know how. I suffered from depression when my grandpa died. Him and I were so close and then he was gone. It was a dark time in my life. I started cutting, I became anorexic, and then I found you're videos. You came it like an excited puppy and, for the first time, I saw hope. You always had a smile on and you made your videos to make other people smile. It showed me that, just because he's gone, doesn't mean that I have to stop smiling. That there was so much in this world that I would miss if I took my life."

Connor sat there for a moment in stunned silence.

"Are you going to say anything?" He pulled me tight to his chest and I began to cry.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was scared."

"Don't apologize." Connor whispered, kissing my head. "It's alright."

He let me cry a while longer and just held me.

"Are you alright to go now?" He asked after a few more minutes.

"I'm alright." I sat up and wiped away a few tears left. "Good thing I wore water proof makeup." I giggled.

"Come on. I'm sure the fans at the convention would love to see you." He pulled me up from the bench with him, kissed my lips and led me to the building.
