10. Chapter 8

*****Justin's POV*****

I woke up to a sleeping Maria and sunlight in my eyes. I thought back again to last night and thought that I should make it up to her and do something special for her, even though we aren't technically dating yet. It was a Saturday and the clock showed that it was barely eight o'clock, but with Maria in my arms, I doubted I would be able to go back to sleep.
With a giant heave, I got up, gave Maria a kiss on top of her head, and wandered to the kitchen. What   most people don't know is that I'm actually a great cook. So it was          decided, our first date would be at her house with me cooking. If that didn't show her that I love her, then I don't know what would. I grabbed my keys and took a quick run to the store so I can get the necessary ingredients. I had to do this quickly so Maria  wouldn't think that I just left her alone,  especially after yesterday.

****Maria's POV****

I slowly opened my eyes, and wished I had just stayed asleep rather then face this killer hangover and the flood of memories from yesterday. I reached out to feel Justin's warmth, but instead finding more blankets. Did he leave after I fell asleep? Did he leave out of embarrassment?

The smell of delicious food told me that, no, he didn't leave. I absolutely hated having to face him after my embarrassment yesterday.  The fact that I still had the outfit on proved that yesterday was not a dream and that I was going to have to apologize to Justin.

Before I had to face him though, I changed into sweats and a t- shirt, and only threw up once.

"I am never drinking again."  I said aloud.

"Where's the fun in that?"  Justin said behind me, almost giving me a heart attack.

"You scared me!" I said, smacking his shoulder. His smirk told me that I had failed miserably at causing him pain.

"If your heart is calm already, I'd like to treat you to breakfast down the hall." Justin said, gesturing to the hall. That would explain the delicious smell wafting through the flat. Here it comes, he's going to ask me about yesterday and I'll look like an idiot.

Justin didn't seem like the type to cook, but boy can he cook AND bake. On the kitchen island, I saw cakes that still had some steam coming out of them. Next to these there were eggs that looked impossibly fluffy and yellow with a stack of buttery hash browns. There was also a bunch of food that I couldn't name, but appealing all the same.

"What's all this for?" I said, speechless.

" It's for our first date, if you accept." He said from behind me. All of this, just for me? I couldn't believe it.

"Of course!" I said as I turned around, wrapped my arms around his neck and got on tippy toys to give him a soft kiss in the lips. Breakfast was going to be great and for this happy moment, nothing else mattered.
