A collection of my poems.
Some were originally in one of my other books and others are new.

9. When I'm Dead

"I'm not afraid of death; I just don't want to be there when it happens.”

― Woody Allen

When I'm dead, when I'm dead

How many books will remain unread?

How many stories will I have unpublished?

How many words will remain unsaid?

When I'm dead, when I'm dead

Who will ever sleep on my bed?

Who will take all my stuff and use them

How many tears will you shed?

When I'm dead, when I'm dead

Please don't live in dread

I will be somewhere else

I'll no longer be a kid

When I'm dead, when I'm dead

Please do not get rid

Of all the things I care about

Achieve the dreams I had in my head.

When I'm dead, when I'm dead

You'll stop worrying if I'm well fed

'Cause I'll be gone, then for good

I've lived the A and I'll face the Z
