The Non-Society Girl

Jassy - short for Joselyn - is being forced. It isn't her choice. She really does not want to be a society girl. She doesn't want to dress fancy and go to dinner parties and dance fancy and proper. She just wants to live her life like any ordinary teenager. But, she's not getting the option. So when her mother threatens to take away her internet, phone and laptop, she agrees. And gets more than just sitting in the corner with her bff when said bff leaves and she's asked to dance. By a pair of cute, identical twins. Names? Jack and Finn Harries.

7. Thoughts

When I woke the next morning I was glad it was a Saturday, there was no way that I was facing the world today. Not after crying over Jack and Finn last night.

And if you're wondering, no, I do not have feelings for either of them. Oh, and no, I do not know why I cried last night over them since I do not have feelings for them.

Don't ask more questions.

I sat up and pulled my laptop up onto my bed and booted it up. Today was a day to ignore society and people and be in my own world where no one could bother me and where I was in control. Yes, I did make a world like that for myself. When you live with my mother, you are kind of forced to.

I know what you're thinking, 'just go live with Maia. She offered!' but I can't. Leave my family? That's a no go. I may hate my mother but she's still my mum and I can't leave.

With all my social media sites up and logged in, I alternated between each of them, scrolling through Facebook, posting status', scrolling through Twitter, tweeting, stalking celebrities and checking what was trending, then moving onto Instagram and posting a selfie, and stalking some more celebrities.

Yes, I am that type of girl whatever I may have made you think before. I'm a teenage girl. I stalk celebrities through social media, it is completely normal I promise.

My ringtone cut through my music and I pressed the talk button. Maia's voice ran through my speakers.

"Hey chicka, what's crack'a'lackin?"

I held up the speaker part on the one side as a smile spread across my face, "not much. Stalking some hot celebs through my social media. How about you, chickie?"

"How did you guess? I'm doing the exact same thing." I laughed. "Well, and texting Nick. He asked me on a date!" She squealed. Yes, squealed, not screamed. She squealed.

"Epicness. When is this all going down?"

"Next Thursday."

"Nice, we can pick out an outfit on Wednesday!"

"Ooh, I like the way you think, Jass. We'll certainly do that. Who was it that came up to you yesterday after school while you were walking?"

"Oh, it was no one. Just some guy who recognized me from the party. The one where I was alone." I told her.

"Ah, he was cute."

"Not really..."

"Don't deny it. He was. If I wasn't with Nick I would totally date him."

I laughed. "Well, you shouldn't want to. He has a twin brother. Both annoying as hell."

"I thought you didn't know him?"

"I never said that. They were both at the party, both approached me."

"Oh..." Silence came next and I bit my lip, hoping for no more. "Did you see what Liam Hemsworth tweeted?" She said excitedly.

"Which part?" We launched into a conversation over celebrity boys and finally when my phone beeped telling me that I had two percent battery left. "Okay, I gotta go. See you Monday."

"Bye chicka!"

I plugged my phone into the charger and returned to social media, my thoughts far away from the evil Harries twins.
