3. Meeting the lads

I ran up the stairs for the millionth time that day. I had to make sure everything was just right. I had made the bedrooms with fresh sheets I had bought. Placed new towels in the guest bathroom on the second floor. Cleaned the kitchen of every spot, it looked as if it had never been used. I had even tuned the three guitars downstairs in the basement, and the grand piano. I ran down the stairs and walked back and forth between the kitchen and the family room. I moved a pillow or two, or three in the family room just to make sure everything was just right. And then the doorbell rang. I froze. Oh my gosh. Their here. I thought. I forced myself to move and answer the door.

On the other side was five boys, all around my age. There was Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis, and Niall. I smiled, but tried not to look like a cow or some deranged animal. I didn't want to scare them off on the first day.

"Hello, are you Emily McGee?" Liam asked. I nodded. "It's a pleasure," he said as he stuck out his hand. I shook it and they all walked in.

"You have a lovely home," Zayn said as they all looked around. They were all so polite.

"Do you live here by yourself Emily?" Louis asked.

"Yes, and please call me Em," I said.

"Oh I'm sure we'll have a bit of fun here," Harry smirked. I smiled. He was cheeky.

"Harry!" the rest of the boys shouted which made me smile more.

"It's alright boys, I don't mind a bit of banter," I said. Louis smiled.

"Anyways," Liam said breaking the awkwardness. "Someone will be bringing our bags by later," he said. I nodded.

"Of coarse, how about I show you the house?" I asked.

I showed them the main floor; my office, the kitchen, the family room and the small half bath. Then the upstairs; the three bedrooms they would be sharing, my room, and their bathroom. And then I showed them the basement. I think they rather enjoyed that. Niall ran straight for the guitars and Liam went for the piano. The rest of the boys went to the pool table and air hockey. Then I opened up the door which held the movie theater with its black couches that reclined and large beanbags. They all broke away from what they were doing and ran to check it out.

"This place is amazing!" Niall shouted. It was one of the first things he had said all day. I was quite surprised cause I thought he'd be very talkative.

I led them upstairs and opened up the backdoor which lead out to a large deck which overlooked not only the pool, but the ocean and beach. They all went running towards the beach like they'd never seen it before. They really were little kids. This was going to be a fun week.
