Truth or Lie?

Callie Jones and a few other guests go to London for the summer. Main reason; to see her family and visit her hometown. Usually on trips, there is that one thing that is not on the agenda. In this case, a romance or two will start to form, a fight or seven might break out, some hypercritical statements and situations, an unknown fact that will shock everyone, and a unique way of meeting five members of the world famous band. But there is one thing wrong with that... Callie isn't too fond of One Direction. So will her summer be all a truth or lie?

17. Chapter 15

"So..." Liam dragged on awkwardly. He then took a sip of his Pepsi. "What brings you to the great city of London?" Liam asked and leaned back in the blue, metal chair that sat in the food court at the mall.

I leaned forward in my chair and placed my elbows on the white, circular table. "Well..." I dragged like he did, except less awkward. "I came here with my friends for vacation and to see my family that I have never met before." Liam's smile fell and he gave me a confused look. "My grandma lives here and thought it would be nice to have a family reunion while my parents and I were in town," I explained. Liam smiled and nodded his head. "Plus, this vacation is sort of the last time my friends and I will see each other before we go our separate ways." Liam once again gave me a confused look. "College. We have been together for 15 years and this will be the first time that we won't be together," I smiled lightly.

"Wow," was all he said.

I sighed and looked down then laughed lightly. "I am such a hypocrite," I mumbled to myself. I looked up at Liam. "I have only known you for..." I paused and clicked the home button on my iPhone and looked at the time. "almost half an hour and I am already telling you my life story," I laughed. Liam started to laugh as well.

Oh my gosh! The way he laughs-

I shook my head to stop my thoughts from running wild. Our laughter soon died down. Liam leaned forward in his chair and placed his elbows on the table like I did.

"Hey. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. I feel like I can tell you anything as well," he smiled. My gosh! That smile! I swear I felt my cheeks start to burn and I had to look down.

"Well... Thanks for lunch. How much do I owe you?" I asked as I began to fish out my wallet from my purse that I just placed on the table. I felt my wallet in my hand when I felt a shock. I looked at my hand and saw Liam's hand on top of mine. I looked up and met his shining eyes.

"You don't owe me anything, love," he smiled. That smile! I could just melt. "It's the least I can do for running into you," he smiled again.

I kept my hands where they were and looked down at the table. "Yeah, well, this has happened to me four other times and I didn't let them take me out to lunch," I mumbled. I am such a hypocrite.

"This has happened four other times?" Liam asked shocked. I looked up into his eyes again. And gave him a small smile. His eyes widened. "How?" he asked panicked. Then quickly added, "If I may ask."

"You may," I said with a smile. I stayed silent for a moment thinking of all the ways. "My first day in London and I get a bathroom door slammed into my head at the airport and I went to the beach only to have a car door slammed into my head. The next day I got tackled at the beach and thrown to the ground and later got kicked in the head by a soccer ball," I finished.

"Wow..." Liam said shocked. "London does not like you," he smiled then laughed a little. I couldn't help but laugh as well. Our laughter soon died down and then there was a silence that filled the air. We sat there for a good minute just staring at each other. Call us crazy, but I don't think this was awkward for us at all.

Our little "stare down" or whatever you want to call it was stopped when a quiet PING was heard by us both. I reached into my pocket to retrieve my phone as Liam did the same thing. My phone was almost out of my pocket when Liam spoke, "It's mine."

I nodded and slipped my phone back into my pocket. Silence continued to fill the air as I watched Liam mess with his phone. His head was down and I heard him sigh. He glanced up at me without tilting his head then he looked at me fully. I watched as his smile fade when he looked at me.

Did I do something wrong?

"My mate just texted me," he paused. "I have to go." He gave me a sad smile. I nodded. Liam got up and I did as well. Liam had his back turned to me and I took the opportunity to quickly take out my wallet and pull out some money. I placed the money on the table and right as I was about to let the money out of my grip, a hand wrapped around my wrist. I quickly looked up to see Liam with a smile on his face. "As I told you before," he started, "'You don't owe me anything love,'" he quoted from earlier. I felt my cheeks burn for a second, or who knows how many, time todays. Liam looked down at my wrist and released it. "Now, put your money back," he commanded with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back and put my money back in my pocket.

"Fine. Look it's put away," I joke as I tapped my pocket. Liam laughed a bit and shook his head.

"I have to go," he spoke. "But first..." he stopped and pulled out his phone and typed a few things. He held his phone out to me. I hesitantly took it and noticed it was opened to his contacts. I typed in my contact information making my name be Callie:) and gave it back to Liam. He looked at his phone and gave me the biggest smile. I took out my phone and brought up the contacts. I handed him my phone and waited for him to put his contact in. He handed it to me. "I really have to go now. Until then..." he took my hand and kissed it, which I found cheesy, cute, and made me blush. I watched him walk away. I sighed and glanced at my phone seeing that his contact was still open.

"CALLIE!" a female voice yelled.

I looked up from my phone expecting to see Alexa running towards me with various shopping bags swinging on her arms and to deliver the news that she and Eric are done shopping. Or for her to expect me to have been sitting here at the entrance the whole time and her running to me about some big sale.

Except, I looked up seeing no one running towards me or my best friends in sight. I only saw the local people or tourists of London. I did a quick glance around then looked back at my phone. There is probably another Callie in this mall somewhere.

"CALLIE!" someone screamed in my ear which caused me to scream and people to stop and stare. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest, I was scared so much. I looked over my shoulder to see Alexa standing behind the bench that I was sitting on with a big smile on her face.

"What the heck?" I whispered due to my heart still beating a mile a minute. Alexa just smiled.

"What's up girlie?" she asks as she climbs over the back of the bench to sit by me. I quickly flip my phone over as her butt collides with the bench.

"What is with you screaming in people's ears?" I asked her. She shrugged. I rolled my eyes and laughed a bit.

"Why you hiding your phone?" Alexa questioned me as she started reaching for my phone. I quickly pulled it away before she could touch it. "Oh! She's hiding something," she beamed. I rolled my eyes yet again and looked away. I then felt a hand on my cheek and it force me it look the other way, or right at Alexa. Alexa grabbed my face and held my face there as she stared into my eyes. Only I looked everywhere else but at her. A moment later, she shoved my face away. "SHUT UP!" she squealed. "There's a boy!"

"What's his name? Eye color? Hair style? Favorite food? Animal? What about TV show? Does he have any friends? How about-" Alexa fired questions.

"Whoa. Whoa. WHOA!" I tried to stop her. "Alexa calm down. Calm down." I got her to quiet down. She just stared at me. "What's with all the questions?"

"Just answer them," she commanded.

I groaned then looked at her in the eyes. "Liam. Warm sparkling brown. Brown quiff. I don't know. Not sure. Interesting question. Yes," I fired back. Just then, I felt my phone vibrate. I glance down at it and Alexa noticed. She quickly grabbed my phone and switched it on.

"Is this from him?" she smirked. I grabbed my iPhone and unlocked it. My eyes widened as I read the text and who it was from.

Wow! Long update. Just for you guys though. Sorry for not updating for a long while. I will try to update when I can. School has been out for almost a month now but I babysit Tuesday-Friday from 7-4 AND I work at Dairy Queen as well. So yeah...

I was thinking about doing the thing that some authors do. The "10 likes for another chapter" or "5 comments for the next chapter" but I am not sure. Ideas?

Like, comment, and favorite please.
