4. The Chase

“Run!!!!!” Titch exclaimed as he saw the dog. The dog had glowing red horns, shaggy blonde fur and drool running down its muzzle. Titch and Rupert ran through the field of flowers, dodging the reaching arms and licking tongues of the dandelions and the rocks below. Titch then saw a huge tree in front of them.

“Climb the tree!” Titch shouted. They climbed up to the first branch which was very high up and hard to reach. However once they got onto the branch and have sprinkled some dust onto the dog, which left it to go limp and fall on the floor, they realised that the tree was green.

“Titch,” Rupert whispered” I don’t think this is a tree... IT’S A DAISY!!” They both glanced up and saw the head; it had spiky yellow teeth and white pointy petals with an eye on each. The boys sprung off the leaf and started to run back up the path to the river. The daisy was following them closely behind, while trailing behind soil which was coming off its roots. By the time they have reached the river they were both dripping with sweat. In front of them was a dark brown, mossy tree trunk lying across the orange, sticky river. Titch and Rupert wasted no time in crossing the tree trunk. Bubbles in the river exploded onto Titch and Rupert making their clothes get sticky splodges all over. Luckily when the daisy was halfway across the tree trunk a gigantic bubble exploded all over the flower, it was so sticky that the flower is now stuck to the trunk.

“Wow that was close!” Rupert panted.

“Yeah but now we have to find Luna” Titch said.

“Hey, Titch?” Rupert questioned.

“Yeah” Replied Titch.

“What’s that weird light over here?” Rupert reached out to a yellow light on the nearest tree. He touched the light and then magically more lights appeared forming a pathway through the forest.

“Maybe these lights will lead us to Luna’s house.” Titch said excitedly. Titch and Rupert followed the path of lights until they reached a spider looking den which had a minuscule sign saying ‘Luna’s House’. Titch knocked on the door.
