3. Leaving Cloud

It was finally the day Titch has been waiting for his whole life. Last night himself and Rupert each had packed a bag full of pre-cooked meat and cotton candy, and we also had a knife, an axe, a water bottle, the dust pouch and a medication bag. We said goodbye to our friends and family and were on our way.

They soon reached the misty land below the Mountains of Life. There was a dark cave in the side of the nearest mountain, which must be the portal. The portal was a huge, pitch black tunnel with smoke swirling around inside. They both looked at each other, and then slowly walked into the tunnel.

The smoke swirled round their arms and legs. They spun in circles until it finally stopped. They were standing at the bottom of a grassy hill side. In front of them was a field of tall flowers, their bright colours stood out in the murky grey sky. There were dandelions and daisies and a wide path that led to the River Syrup.

“We should follow that path” Titch told Rupert.

“Ok, but remember to avoid the daisies” reminded Rupert. So they walked along the path staying close to the dandelions and far away from the daisies. When suddenly an evil dog with horns came charging at them.
