9. Chapter 9

It was a few weeks until the third task and CeCe had just about explored every inches of Hogwarts. For once in her life people other than Adella seemed to notice her. It was a great feeling.

One day CeCe ran into the girl James saved in the second task. “Hi,” the girl smiled “You’re Albus’ girlfriend aren’t you?”

“Yeah, I am.” CeCe grinned back.

“I’m Lily, Albus’ sister.” The girl introduced herself.

“It’s nice to finally meet you,” CeCe said “Your brothers talk about you all the time.”

“Yeah, they tender to do that,” Lily blushed “It’s because they promised Mum and Dad they’d keep me safe in my first year. Now being in my third year they still do.”

“It must be nice to have siblings.” CeCe thought aloud.

“All I’m going to say is don’t wish for one like James,” Lily warned “He always pranks me, Albus, Rose and Hugo.” The two of them laughed and said they’d see each other around. CeCe felt great that she had met Albus’ sister. She was a really sweet girl.

But the promise to keep Lily safe had given CeCe and idea. She found James chatting up two girls about his age. “James.” CeCe called.

“What is it?” James said as the girl walked away.

“You know the promise you and Albus made to keep Lily safe?” CeCe asked.

“Yeah, why?” James questioned her.

“Well if the third task is the most dangerous,” CeCe continued, “I thought we should make a promise to each other. So if one of us gets badly injured or dies, the other will have to take their body with them so that people know if we survived or not.”

James thought for a bit. “OK,” he said “For my friends and family, I promise if you die or get badly injured, I will take your body with me.” Once CeCe repeated what James said, they shook hands to make sure the other was telling the truth.

CeCe had done the right thing. It would be fair if one of them died and their friends and family didn’t know.
