4. Chapter 4

When CeCe woke up she found herself in what looked like a hospital wing and it was morning.  There was a middle-aged woman dressed in a nursing uniform standing next to her holding a wet cloth onto her forehead. “Cecelia,” The woman said “I’m Madame Pomfrey. The Hogwarts school nurse.”

“W-what happened?” CeCe asked her head pounding like a drum. She looked up and saw Adella sitting by her bed. “You fainted, Miss Chambers.” Madame Pomfrey explained. “It must have been all of the excitement, last night.” Adella suggested.

CeCe sat up and around the hospital wing, when Madame Pomfrey went over to sort out a boy about her age with black scruffy. Sitting next to him was a girl with frizzy brown hair with her nose in a book. CeCe could her Madame Pomfrey talking to the boy, saying, “How did you get burns all the way up your arm, Mr Potter?”

“Another Potter?” Adella said, looking surprised. CeCe just kept looking at the boy. “If you feel better you can got, Miss Chambers.” Madame Pomfrey said sternly. So CeCe climbed off the bed and walked over to the other Potter boy.

“Those look really sore.” CeCe said with sympathy. “They sure are.” The boy croaked as Madame Pomfrey rubbed burn-healing paste over his arm. “I’m Albus.” The boy said, “Albus Potter and this is m cousin, Rose Weasley.” The frizzy haired girls looked up from her book, smiled and then went back to her book.

“Cecelia Chambers,” CeCe grinned “But most people call me CeCe. This is my best friend, Adella Ernisse.” Adella smiled a little but CeCe could tell she was nervous because she was actually talking to a Potter. “So, you’re the Shanklin Witch Academy champion, huh?” Albus said as Madame Pomfrey dismissed the four of them.

“Yeah, I guess so.” CeCe admitted, “I met your brother, James, last night.”

“Don’t mind him,” Rose piped up closing her book “He’s just a big flirt whose head is full of hot air.”

“Yeah, I noticed.” CeCe grinned nervously.

“I thought he’d be friendly.” Adella squeaked after finding the courage to.

“He is really but he’s such a show off.” Albus said. The four of then talked for a while, and then when Albus and Rose headed back to class, CeCe and Adella went back to the Shanklin Witch campsite.

“CeCe, you’re OK, and you’re blushing.” Mandy Young said as Adella and CeCe enter the fourth year tent. “I think someone has a crush.” Adella teased.

“No I don’t.” CeCe said trying not to make a fuss.

“Who’s got a crush on who?” Ruby Rogers asked curiously which got all the girl going.

“Quiet, please.” Adella hushed “CeCe’s got a crush on Albus Potter.”

“No I don’t.” CeCe snapped, “I’ve only just met him, plus we were only having a conversation about how much of a bimbo his brother is.”

“Sounds like love to me.” Hayley Gills sighed. The other girls swooned.

Then Professor McGonagall came into the tent. “Cecelia Chambers?” she called.

“Yes, Professor?” CeCe replied.

“Your needed for the Weighing of the Wands ceremony.” Professor McGonagall told her. CeCe followed Professor McGonagall to a room where Aleksandar and James were waiting.

“I heard you fainted last night, CeCe.” James mentioned, “I bet it was you falling head over heels for me.”

“Mr Potter, you can discuss this in your own time.” Professor McGonagall said sternly. Then a young man about his early thirty’s arrived.        “Good day, Professor McGonagall.” The man said cheerily “So who shall I have first. I think go with the eldest first.” Aleksandar walked towards him and handed the man his wand.

Then Rita Skeeter, a reporter for the Daily Prophet, arrived. “I hope I’m not late.” She said as she waltzed into the room. “Not at all Ms Skeeter.” Professor McGonagall said. “Lets start with the youngest shall we?” Rita said perkily as she grabbed CeCe’s arm.

She whisked CeCe off to a quiet place not too far from where the others were. “Now,” Rita began “Your name, how old you are and what school you go to.”

“OK,” CeCe gulped “My name is Cecelia Chambers, I’m fourteen years old and I go to Shanklin Witch Academy.” She was nervous and all she could concentrate on was the quick-quotes-quill.

“So, what is it like being from a school that hasn’t competed in the Triwizard Tournament before?” Rita asked.

“Well, it’s weird actually because every school in Europe’s competed but for Shanklin Witch it’s the first time.”

“What do you think of your competitors James Potter and Aleksandar Dimitrov?”

“They’re nice enough people. We talk a little after we were chosen but that’s it really.”

“Do you feel intimidated that you’re against a Potter?”

“No not at all. I mean just because his father competed does give him any major advantages.”

After that Rita took CeCe back to where the others were and told James with her. The man weighing the wands beckoned her over. “Good morning, Miss Chambers.” He said politely “I’m Mr Wormwell. May I see your wand?”

“Of course.” CeCe said pulling her wand out of her pocket. Mr Wormwell examined her wand carefully.

“9 ½ inches, rosewood, unicorn hair.” He mumbled, “May I see you cast a spell with it?” CeCe nodded as she mumbled “Lumos.” Under her breathe. The end of her wand lit up like a torch. Mr Wormwell looked very satisfied. “Thank you.” He said as CeCe stood up and muttered “Nox.” to put out the light.

After Rita Skeeter finished interviewing James and Aleksandar, she asked for a photo. Professor McGonagall fetched a chair and told CeCe to sit on it.  Then Rita arranged them so that James and Aleksandar were behind her. Aleksandar look bold as usual, James was being cheeky and put his hand on CeCe’s shoulder. But CeCe just sat on the chair with a friendly smile. “OK,” Rita said after getting them into position “Smiles.” Then the camera flashed.
