20. Chapter 18

I tried to scream, but obviously couldn't, and jerked my body, trying to wriggle free.

Finally, the person let go, and flicked on a lighter. It was Aaron. I smacked him on the arm.

"Why'd you do that?" I angrily whispered.

Then, I grabbed his cheeks, and kissed him passionately. "I was so worried!" That was a bipolar moment.

"Are you ok?" he asked, holding my hand as he lighted a candle, and set it on the nearby table.

"Yea, but what happened?"

"I don't know!" Aaron uttered. "I was walking down to breakfast, and out of nowhere, the maids started running down the hall. Abby stopped and told me it was a lockdown and I needed to hide. So then, I ran upstairs to my room, and closed the door. The lights flashed off, and I was in pitch blackness. I was worried something might of happened. Maybe Liam was here, or something...and then I heard someone breathing...which was you...and well...here we are." He whispered.

"I think I know what's going on..." I spoke. "I watched Harry turn outside."

"Oh my, are you alright?" he grabbed my arms, squinting at my body. "Did he bite you? You know when vampires get bitten by werewolves, they die!"

"I'm fine!"

Aaron looked at my knee. "What's this?"

"I tripped..." I said, looking down. The gash was worse than I initially thought.

"We need to get that-" he said.

"Shhh!" I interrupted, hearing footsteps outside. Loud footsteps...then a howl. Harry.

"Aaron, what do we do?" I whispered.

Aaron put his finger to his mouth, and then blew out the candle.

I grabbed his hand, and we stood there listening to the sounds outside. I half knew he was going to open the door, and grab us.

Then an overwhelming sick feeling came over me. I hadn't had a blood bag in 2 days. Hunger gnawed at my insides, and I closed my eyes.

"Camille...Camille..." Aaron whispered, shaking me awake.

"What happened?" I asked. It was still dark, but the sounds outside were gone.

Suddenly, there was a loud banging on the door.

Aaron got up, and walked towards it.

"Don't get it, Aaron! It's a trick!" I said.

"Help!" someone yelled.

A howl erupted, and the person outside shrieked in pain. Then, complete silence.

That was the most horrible thing I had ever heard.

The lights came back on.

I grabbed Aaron's hand again, and we gently opened the door. My eyes readjusted to the light, and then I saw it.  Rylie was on the ground, a puddle of blood under her. I guessed it was from the giant hole in her stomach.

I screamed.

Harry was next to her, a knife in his side. He was in human form, and completely naked. They were both unconscious...or dead. I looked away, disgusted and horrified for both of them. Aaron bent down next to Harry. "He's still breathing!"

I bent down to Rylie, frantically throwing my hands in the air. "What do I do?"

But all I could think about was her blood. That blood running down my throat...warming my insides. "That's wrong!" I thought. "You'll die!" Vampire blood is extremely toxic. That's why you can't drink it. "Camille, you can't!" My conscious was telling me no, but the hunger inside me was piercing my chest. "Just a little is alright..." I told myself. "She's dying and all you can think about is her blood!" Monster! Monster!" I was fighting myself. I was SO hungry!

Then, I couldn't stand it anymore! I lunged for her.

Next thing I remember is staring at the wall. Then I saw her. Arabella. Blackness.
