The sign on the door read CLOSED but Abby pushed the door and it swung open as if the restaurant was ready for a customer to walk straight in. A fat, short man with a checked chef hat and red apron was standing behind a counter, polishing.

'Excuse me?' Abby said. The man whipped round like someone had just branded him with a burning hot poker.

'WE AREN'T EXCEPTING ANY CUSTOMERS! PEDRO'S PIZZA PALACE IS CLOSED, AS THE SIGN CLEARLY READS,' he yelled and Abby was quite shocked. Judging by his appearance, Pedro seemed like a happy and cheerful person. But Abby had always known not to judge a book by it's cover (but really it should be don't judge a person by their appearance) so she wiped the shocked look off her face and smiled as best as she could.

'My name is Abby and my friend Jamie was taken away after his father was arrested. He left me a clue telling me to come here. Can you help me?' A wide smile split across Pedro's face and he ran forward, enveloping Abby in a huge hug. Once he had let go, he brushed himself down and smiled again.

'So you are Abby Flinch! My friend Jamie told me a lot about you, no? I am Pedro Guica. Guica is Italian for, well, I don't know but that is no worries hey? I tell you, I knew you were going to come, even though sometimes I doubted it. But, that doesn't matter, you are here now no? OK, let us get started, what do we have to do?' Abby's face dropped.

'You don't know what to do? I thought Jamie might have given you instructions are something. All he left me was a piece of paper with directions on, leading to his new home.'

'Ah, yes, I kid with you, no? Jamie says: "drive Abby to my new home", so I do that, shall I not? He also say: "I love this pizza"  but that is irrelevant, no? OK, those directions, give them to me please. Then we go find Jamie and bring him home.' Abby nodded, relieved. She handed over the piece of paper and together the pair crept out of the restaurant and to Pedro's delivery van.
