So Over It [completed, undergoing editing]

Christina: I can’t wait to come back to my hometown, Austin, Texas, to see my boyfriend, Matt.

Matt: I feel so guilty. She doesn’t know that I have a new girlfriend now… and I didn’t even tell her.

Christina: I’m heartbroken. I can’t believe he would do this to me. He cheated on me!

Matt: I miss her, more than anything.

Christina: I’m slowly healing. Maybe things will get better.

Matt: I’m just so confused.

Christina: I’m tired of wallowing around in misery and tears. I’m going to get revenge on this sleazy cheater, if it’s the last thing I do. I’ve got a hot guitar player, an amazing voice, a school dance to perform at, and the best girl-power-breakup song I’ve ever heard. Time to show him girls can be tough, too.

4. Matt's POV

"It's not what it looks like," was what popped out of my mouth.

And yeah, okay. I know that response is totally, seriously lame and cliche, and it always IS, ironically, what it looks like.

But sitting there, making out on the bed with my hot blonde girlfriend, and with my old brunette girlfriend standing at my bedroom door with this shocked expression on her face, that was all I could think of to say.

Kaitlyn pulled her lips away from me, confused. "Wait. Who's that...?" She looked closer at Christina, and then gasped. "Christina...?"

"That's me," Christina managed to blurt out.

"Oh. My. God." Kaitlyn pulled away from me completely. "This is not happening..."

Christina's face was pale, and she was speechless. Christina, speechless? No way. But there she was, her mouth gaping open.

Then her face receded into hurt. Tears filled her eyes, but being the tough girl she is, she blinked them back. Her face hardened into anger.

"So," she said cooly, her voice hard and without emotion. "I guess this is what Mikey meant at the front door when he said someone ELSE was in the room?"

"Christina--"

Kaitlyn suddenly got it.

"Oh," she said. "Oh wow...," she turned to me. "So this is the girl back in New York that you dated in seventh grade, that stole you from me?" She turned to face Christina with a smirk on her face. "I thought we had gotten rid of you loooong ago."

Christina was about to reply something equally nasty when Kaitlyn said curtly, "Get out of this room. You might have kissed Matt under a sycamore tree when you were just little baby seventh graders, but whatever you had with him is long gone, sweetie."

Christina went pale again.

"He's mine." hissed Kaitlyn.

Christina was clearly about to cry, but she had too much dignity to do it in front of us. She turned on her heel with a "Have a good night" and then, just like that, she was gone.
