4. Chapter 4

I looked out the window of the school bus. As I passed my real parents' house. There was nothing different about it, except that my window was covered with black curtains. I looked down at my lap and blinked away my tears. A girl with blond hair and brown eyes sat next to me.

"Hey I'm Julie. What's your name?"

"I'm Corey." I smiled. I might as well make some friends right?

Julie started chatting with me throughout the whole ride. As we walked off the bus, she led me to the main office and waited for me by the door. I looked over the desk and the secretary asked me, "Corey Millard. You know what's funny, there's a student here that has the same exact name! What are the odds!" I leaned onto the counter, but my elbow kind of slid through. I quickly regained my balance and realized that I am a ghost now and I can't exactly lean on things. I looked behind me to make sure nobody noticed that but this boy with green eyes and brown hair chuckled. My cheeks turned red and I quickly looked away.

I put my hands in my pockets as I walked out the door. I found a note from The Mighty One and a little bottle. Apparently I have to wipe that liquid on my whole body so I can actually sit on normal chairs. Wow too late. I thought.

I briskly went to the bathroom and applied that oily liquid on my body. I then headed to my first class. I didn't really pay attention to the teacher, but more to the students around me. People kept whispering and pointing at me, and saying my name. I guess they noticed I looked like Corey.

At lunch, I sat at Julie's table. I looked around, but couldn't find Corey anywhere.

"OMG she totally looks like Corey!" said one of the girls.

"I know right!!!" said Julie. "Corey is this bitch that everyone hates. She has her own group of friends, and she doesn't let anyone near her." explained Julie. Well it seems like getting close to Corey will be pretty hard.

"Hey is it only me or has been Matt staring at Corey this whole time?" said the first girl.

"I looked over and noticed him. He was the guy from the office this morning. I ignored him and continued eating my lunch. I quickly got up after I was done and walked around. I was looking for Corey.

"Hey!" I heard a voice behind me. I quickly turned around and saw Matt. His green eyes stared into mine, enchanting me. I quickly snapped out of the trance and realized he was grinning.

"Is there something I can help you with?" I said, rather sarcastically.

"Yes I want you to go with me to the movies tonight."

"Dude you don't even know me." I said, a little suspicious.

"I'm going to wait for you at 7 tonight at the movies. See you later!"

I looked at him in shock as he walked away. Now in my old life I would've been happy to go with him but now I have my suspicions. I walked down the hall and into the bathroom. There, I saw some girls putting on make up. One of them looked exactly like me. I overheard Corey say, "yeah I am to see Shark Bait anyone brave enough to go with me?" I quickly interupted by saying, "Hey, are you Corey?"

"Yes--" she stopped talking when she saw me. She looked at me from toe to head and back again then flipped her hair and walked away with attitude. Her friends did the same exact thing.

I was going to go on that date with Matt, whom I had some serious doubts about, but it was for the best.
