The Poetry Dropbox Of A Wallflower

po·et·ry [poh-i-tree] noun 1. The art of rhythmical composition, written or spoken, for exciting pleasure by beautiful, imaginative, or elevated thoughts.

Here's a collection of my poetry. They're quite personal, and they all have a moral that is often hidden. So if you don't understand them please just ask in the comments :)

2. Distorted Reflection

Theres an image in the mirror,

I wonder who she is.

Her image is distorted,

Her mind has become his.

She changed the way she dresses,

To a pretty vibrant pink.

She plastered makeup on her face,

Thinking he's her missing link.

She's pinned up the black curls,

That used to hang around her face.

She plays happy when really,

She feels so out of place.

She listens to the radio,

Her playlist is deleted.

The music that once comforted,

Now reminds of how she's defeated.

She misses her true style,

The way she used to be.

She longs to express herself,

But her mind is lost at sea.

She's controlled by a love,

Thats taken over her head.

She let her heart guide the way,

And now her willpower is dead.

She thinks that he's the one,

But she's limited edition.

He's changed my reflection,

To beyond my  recognition.
