The Initials on My Wrist - 1D Fanfiction

Leah has always wanted to meet one direction. She has a bedroom covered in posters, a billion t-shirts and lets not mention how many concert tickets she has pinned to her wall, because there are more than enough. When her Mom becomes their manager, Leah, being 19, would much rather take her Mom's offer and come on tour with them instead of staying home alone for six months and tags along. The only problem is that it is the middle of summer, and she wont expose her wrists. That counts as sweater's, long sleeve shirts and warm jackets, only to hide two letters, the initials of the person who she secretly loves, and always has. What happens when that same person, doesn't love her back?

14. Chapter Fourteen

Niall's POV

"Thank you! Goodnight!" I hear the crowd roar after playing our second show here. We have 3 shows left to go, so we are here for another week, and then we have to leave. I wonder if Harry realizes that if Leah isn't alright yet, that we have to leave her here. I need to get that into his head.

"Hey Paul," I say backstage, patting him on the back. Harry is ahead of me, going outside. "Harry!" "Harry wait!" I continue to call.  I catch him getting into the tour bus with the rest of the boys. "Harry, can I talk to you outside for a minute?" I ask, pulling him outside. "Whats up dude?" He asks. "I don't know if you realized this, but if Leah doesn't heal in the next week, we have to leave without her." I inform him. He immediately tenses up. "No. No, she'll, she'll be alright." He lies to himself. "But the doctor said two weeks." "No! She'll be fine." He says again, walking up the street. "Where are you going?" "Back to the hospital." He mutters. Fans run up to him, ten at a time, but he just keeps walking. Never, has he ever done that to anyone, ever. Never.

Harry's POV

"Hi Gorgeous," I say to Leah when I walk in the room. On the way I picked up a bouquet of roses, so I walk in and set them on her bedside table. "Hello," She says, quietly. "How does your stomach feel?" I ask her, and she answers "Sore, but empty." I laugh. "I'll get the doctor to bring you some soup and toast. Alright?" I say, and she nods.

Leah's POV

Harry comes back into the room following the doctor who is carrying a tray of food, thank goodness, I'm starving. "How long until I can get out of here?" I ask the doctor. He shakes his head. "Not sure, not sure. a week at the least, two weeks maybe. Depends on what your body wants to do with itself." He explains. "Harry, what if  you leave before I get better?" I ask Harry, scared that they will have to leave me here. "In that case, she will have to stay here unless you can safely transfer her to a doctor at your next destination. How far away is that?" The doctor asks Harry. "Two days." "Then that should work fine. But when this happens, if you possibly leave earlier, you must remember only soup and toast until you get to the next doctor. They should take care of you until you can walk again, and you are on strict bed rest. I will contact a doctor and notify him of your arrival." The doctor explains. "But you said I might get better within a week?" I say. The doctor looks at me. "It is very possible that you will take even longer than two weeks to heal. I'm sorry Leah." He says, before walking out of the room. Harry helps me to sit up, and he hands me the tray. I start to gulp down the soup, but then my head starts to hurt again. I push the tray away. "I need to lay down Harry," I say, feeling dizzy. "Why?" He asks, taking the food. I can't tell him the truth, or I might not be able to go with them. "Just tired is all." I lie, laying back down. "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow," He says, kissing me on the forehead and then leaving the room. "I almost forgot," He says, handing me my phone. "If you ever need to talk, just text me." He says.

I know exactly who I'm going to text, though. I'm going to text Zayn.

From Leah: Hey Zayn

From Zayn: Hi! How are you feeling?

From Leah: Alright, I guess.

From Zayn: That's great. I miss you a lot. It gets lonely around here without you.

From Leah: I'm the lonely one. Does my mom ever come when I am sleeping?

From Zayn: She comes every chance she gets. She is super busy, as you know. She has been twice.

I set the phone down, and I hear a ding. Must be Zayn texting me again, yet I am so tired, I can't even answer it. Reading and typing makes me dizzy, anyways. I thought he removed the infection, but I'm starting to feel bad again. I reach over to the side for my toast, and I take a bite. The next thing I see, Is puke all over the floor.
