Tell me those three words. (Sequel to those three little words)

It's been 5 years since the day Lani and Lexi left the boys in their London home. She's a totally different women now. She's in a stable relationship, Lexi's now 5, getting ready to go to school. She has a stable job at a radio station. But what happens when she has to interview the boys. Will they recognise her? Will they ignore her? Will they beg her to come back? Or will she deny who she is..

31. ill

Lani's P.O.V

We were taking Lexi to the hospital today. Over night she got worse, and was sick three times. She's getting a higher temperature, but doesn't feel it, she's got bad headaches, and she says now she doesn't feel sick, she just throws up. I was getting ready, and Harry was in the kitchen trying to get Lexi to eat something, yeah, that's not going well from what i can hear. Once i was ready i walked into the kitchen and saw Harry with his head in his hands.

"What's up?" i asked, his head shot up, and i could tell he had been crying.

"She's just fallen asleep, i'm really scared Lani" I walked over to him, and we sat there for what seemed like forever hugging eachother. I stood up and grabbed a passed out Lexi. Harry followed. We got into his car and headed for the hospital. My head was pounding, i felt sick, and i was sweating like mad. I looked back at Lexi and saw she was still asleep. A single tear escaped my eye as i realised how ill she actually looked. I quickly wiped it away, and looked out the window to see we were at the hospital.

"Here we go" i sighed. Before i got out the car, Harry grabbed my hand, stopping me.

"Whatever happens, we're going to stick together, me and you, we can get through whatever happens, okay?" he said, with a slight smile on his face. I leant forward and planted a soft kiss on his lips. He released my hand, and got out grabbing Lexi. I got out just after, and we walked into the hospital hand in hand.

We were sat in the waiting room for A&E, Lexi was now awake, she'd been sick randomly twice, and she's been in and out of sleep. I looked over at Harry, and squeezed his hand. He looked over to me and sent me a slight smile.

"Lexi Styles?" A nurse said as she walked into the room. Me and Harry instantly stood up, and practically ran to the nurse. She showed us to the cubicle, and said the doctor would be with us shortly.

"Everything's going to be okay, i promise" Harry said, kissing my forehead. I just nodded and looked down and the sleeping child in my arms. After what seemed like forever the doctor finally came in.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Styles. I'm Dr.Fernandez, what may i help you with?" he said, my eyes widened when he called me 'Mrs Styles' i know it's only polite, but still!

"Um, can you call me Salisbury, please?"

"Sorry ma'am. Yes, now whats the problem here?"

"Our daughter, Lexi, has been being sick the past couple of days, but she say's she doesn't feel sick before she is, she's been really pale, complaining of a headache, falling asleep randomly, and has had a very high temperature" Harry explained. The doctor nodded and started typing some things into his computer which we couldn't see. Trust me, i was trying to look.

"I need to go and speak to a few people, i'll be back as soon as i can" he said walking out of the cubicle. I looked over to Harry, and handed him Lexi. I stood up and walked over to the computer, clicking onto history.

"Lani! What're you doing?!" Harry whisper-yelled. I 'sh'ed him. I looked through the history and 'Symptoms of childhood cancer' was the last website the doctor went on. I heard voices from outside of the cubicle, so quickly exited and sat back down next to Harry. He looked confused.

"Just wait" i whispered, as in on cue, the doctor walked in.

"I need to run some tests on Lexi.." He said rather quietly.

"Why?" Harry asked. The doctor sighed, and sat down in his chair.

"Nothing is 100% certain yet, but we think your daughter may have Leukemia.. it's not clear yet, but it's likely. She has all the symptoms, hence why we will be running some tests on her.. I'm sorry, i'll give you both some time" he said before he left. I was right. My baby girl has cancer. I looked at Harry and tears were streaming down his face, he got up and left the room without saying a single word. I looked down at Lexi, and my heart shattered into a thousand and one peices. My baby girl can't have cancer, no, they're wrong..
