Calum Hood. That's me.
I'm the new kid on the block.
I've just moved to Sydney, Australia with my family to start a new life. But I don't want to.
I liked my old life.
I loved it in fact.
I was the popular kid in school, with a banging girlfriend who just happened to e the head cheerleader. My sister, Mali Hood, got offered a fashion job here in Oz, and my parents just expected me to drop my life and move half way around the world for her.

But what if moving to Aus wasn't such a bad idea after all?
Well, it can only go up from here.

9. chapter nine

Ashton left for school this morning, but I decided I wanted to walk. I was just about out the door until I had to sprint up the stairs again to grab my phone off my bed. As I was walking back down, I saw Calum's bass guitar lying there on one of the spare lounges. I knew he would want it back, and I really wanted to talk to him, especially after what happened yesterday.

I grasped my hand around the neck of the guitar and walked out of the house with it. I locked the door behind me and crossed over to his yard, knocking on his front door moments later. Calum opened the door shirtless and I had to force myself to look away, although I didn't want to.

"You shouldn't be here." he bluntly stated. My jaw dropped open.

Calum's pov

A knock sounded throughout the house, causing me to lazily push myself off the lounge, to answer it. I pulled the door open and there stood Emma, gazing at my shirtless body. I felt uncomfortable because I don't exactly like my body, although I am working on it.

"You shouldn't be here." I bluntly stated, causing her jaw to drop open. I felt bad for being so mean. She didn't exactly do anything wrong. Just used me for sex.

"I’m sorry." she whispered, hanging her head low, still having my guitar clasped in her small hand. I reached my hand out and removed the guitar from her hands, forcing it into mine. She let her hands fall to her sides loosely.

"Look, come inside." I moved aside letting her shuffle in, before I shut the door behind her. I guided her to the lounge room, leaning my guitar up against a wall. I sat down on the cream coloured couch, whilst she stood at the doorway awkwardly.

"You can sit down." I chuckled, which made her light up a bit and sit down across from me.

"So, uh what’s up?" I awkwardly said, scratching behind my neck.

"I just wanted to bring your guitar back."

"And..." I urged her to go on, knowing she was here for more.

"And... I wanted to explain something to you. Something that I've never told anybody..." she said fiddling with her fingers in her lap.

"Okay..." I smiled, trying to make it easier to tell me whatever she wanted to tell me.

"Well..." tears began welling up in her eyes, as she couldn't find the words to say.

Before I knew it, she stood up with tears now falling from her beautiful eyes, and ran out of my house.

Part of me wanted to get up and chase her, bringing her back and holding her tight in my arms. But the other part still felt a strong anger towards her, knowing she had used me.

And I don't know what to do.

I hope she went somewhere safe.
