Lame.

And when the night gets dark, and there's no way back, I'll call your name, but it's fading, we're fading; After leaving school for nine months, Fenella is ready to go to high school again.... Just not ready to face her best friend and former crush Calum. What Calum doesn't know is that he's the father of Fenella's baby. When given the chance to raise his child, even though both parents are only 16, the opportunity is taken away when he finds out that Fenella is going out with his now ex-friend Ashton Irwin.

Ashton's POV

The rain had gotten heavier, so it meant it was time to come back from the walk in the park, and go back home.

I then saw Calum and Fenella, running down the street, looking rather very comfortable in each others arms.

I did some of the breathing exercises that my counselor had suggested, but obviously, they hadn't been working since I broke my promise about two days after I made it.

"Why is it every time  I try visiting my mom, or taking Xander out, these things always happen?" I spoke to myself. I looked in the rear-view mirror and slowly crept the car up next to the two. I put on a fake smile, and opened the window.

"Fen! Cal!" I shouted over the rain droplets. "Get in here before you get sick!" They did as I told, Fenella taking the passenger seat and Calum, next to Xander.

The car ride home was silent, but that certainly wasn't the case when we got home. Fenella sat on the couch, crying herself off. Calum went into the basement to take some kind of phone call and I put Xander to rest before communicating with Fen.

"Fennie, what the hell were you doing?"

"I was at Calum's house."

"And why the heck we're you there?" A pinch of jealousy erupted from my voice.

"I was helping him."

"I can see that, but what have I told you about leaving the house without telling me. What if something bad had happened? You could get sick from being in the rain!" My voice was still quiet, not really a shout.

"Ashton! What have I told you? I'm not a child! You can't just tell me what to do!" She shouted, first.

"Yes, but I'm in charge. Fenella, I don't like worrying about you. I'm trying to stay calm, but I freaking can't! You're such a teenager! I know you want to live your life and everything, but you can't have a normal life! You have a child! He comes first! Doesn't he?! I'm not just some babysitter you can throw this baby on me! I'm your boyfriend! Why do you have to be so irresponsible! "

"Irresponsible? Ok.. Listen, Ashton, I'm sorry I really am. I know, you have your own life to love too. Again, I appreciate everything you do for me. I love you, you know that, ok? Now please, you can have the night off or whatever. I'll watch Xander tonight."

I looked away, before looking back at her and giving her a hug. "That's all I was asking for. I'm sorry I shouted at you. I love you too."
