Lame.

And when the night gets dark, and there's no way back, I'll call your name, but it's fading, we're fading; After leaving school for nine months, Fenella is ready to go to high school again.... Just not ready to face her best friend and former crush Calum. What Calum doesn't know is that he's the father of Fenella's baby. When given the chance to raise his child, even though both parents are only 16, the opportunity is taken away when he finds out that Fenella is going out with his now ex-friend Ashton Irwin.

12. Shopping Day

Ashton's POV

I placed Xander in the shopping cart and began our shopping. I wasn't really used to this shopping thing. Mrs. Tates and Fenella were usually in charge of these types of things, but I guess now is just a good time, as any, to start becoming the father Xander needed in his life. I promised Fenella I would be there for her, and I'm going to keep that promise.

I pushed around the cart, with Xander in front of me, collecting the various items we needed like powdered milk, baby food, baby powder, diapers and all that other baby stuff. Between traveling from one isle to another, I would get distracted by the baby's small size. I took his hand, and compared it mine. I could've been a a giant to him, my hand being about 3 times bigger than his.

I grinned at his smiley-ness. He was so happy for someone who barely knew what was going on around him. But I guess all children are like that, huh?

His laugh was contagious. "Thanks for cheering me up even though I'm not upset little guy." I gave him a kiss on the forehead as we made our way down to the toy section. Fenella wouldn't be happy with my selection, but I decided to throw in a cape, some super hero mask and other various objects that I.. I mean Xander may need in a few years. Until then, I shall keep these toys company.

When I finally got everything I needed, I pushed the almost full cart to the registers, grabbing a few candy bars before actually checking out. Surprisingly, the end total wasn't even close to what I expected. $100 less actually, only being about $150 for all the food, toys and other things I bought. I'm proud of myself.
