Lame.

And when the night gets dark, and there's no way back, I'll call your name, but it's fading, we're fading; After leaving school for nine months, Fenella is ready to go to high school again.... Just not ready to face her best friend and former crush Calum. What Calum doesn't know is that he's the father of Fenella's baby. When given the chance to raise his child, even though both parents are only 16, the opportunity is taken away when he finds out that Fenella is going out with his now ex-friend Ashton Irwin.

30. Shattered Pieces

Calum's POV

"Will you marry me Fenella? We always fight, but that only shows how much we really care about each other. I want to grow up with you, help you raise Xander. I don't care if were not out of our teens yet. Be with you forever. You can't give up on us now. I love you too much to let you go. I've already asked your parents and they think this is a great idea. They said we don't have to get married yet since you're still in school, but I just want to be able to call you mine forever and you having this ring will guarantee that. Will you please let me into your heart? You've already taken mine away."

This whole scene was happening right in front of me. I watched, as he kneeled before her like a prince, holding a box with a multi-thousand dollar ring. Something I probably couldn't afford until I was 30.

She nodded her head yes. Just when I thought I had her, everything had fallen apart. I let her go. She let me go. All my efforts of trying to win her over had failed. They would raise my child together and he would marry the girl I loved for the past 3 years. I couldn't watch the scene. I left the room with my stuff and didn't turn back. They would get married and she would forget about the past we had.

This whole thing was like a plot to a terrible movie, and I was the victim. The victim of a terrible movie, because this was indeed the worst few weeks of my life, in which I am contained in this horrifying book.

However, the only way to end this tragic book, was letting go and moving on. Maybe Fenella and I truly weren't meant to be. They'll fight over and over again, but I guess I'm just not the one. Or maybe, all this is happening so soon so that they can see that getting married at this young age was a terrible idea and that they weren't meant to be. Then, she'll come back to me.

I surrendered to my enemy in silence, keeping my head down, as I walked out the door.

"Thanks for the memories Fenella... Keep her happy Ashton. You certainly have two treasures on your hands..."

***Well this is the end to 'Lame'. I did warn you readers that this wouldn't be a very well thought out ending. I really hoped you guys liked it. It was an interesting story to write. Thanks for reading! - Lanna x
