3. Chapter 3

17 victories and 5 hours later I finally decided to call it a night.

"Hey, I'm getting kinda tired. If you want you guys can keep playing while I go take a little nap." I stated, standing up and stretching. "Text me when you can, ok Red?"

 "Alright, goodnight love."

 "Goodnight." I smiled.

"Hey now I was just starting to win!" Harry pouted.

"Sucks to suck!" I laughed, running up stairs.

God I missed Red. I don't know why, but it always feels odd calling him that. I always think of the color. It sucks because he won't tell me his actual name. He told me one day what it started with, but I could still never figure it out. Sometimes I just call him Bob if I get tired of Red. I started giggling to my self thinking about it. I slowly opened my bedroom door and face planted on my bed. I'm soo tired. Just then I heard a knock at my door.

"Come in." I said snuggling up in my blankets.

"Sorry to bother you Lexi, but I was wondering if you could help me for a second? You see your mom said I could stay in the guest bedroom, but never really said where it was..."

"Yeah I understand, I'd forget too if I was too busy snogging someone else's dad. She probably just showed you the wrong bed. Don't worry." I said, trying to keep in my laughter.

"Umm... Yeahh... About tha-" He started.

"I'm just kidding." I laughed sitting up in my bed. Relief took over his face as I started to laugh. Hah, this kid was scared! I quickly sat up and motioned for him to follow me. I walked across the hall and stopped in front of the remodeled guest room. I slowly opened the door and turned on the lights.

"Here you are." I said, revealing the medium sized room to him. I loved this room. If not more than my own room. Which is probably why my book is still sitting on the desk! I quickly picked it up and put it behind my back.

"Ohh so you like to read too? It's ok. I'm not Bookliphobic " Harry chuckled. "What-cha got there?"

 "Bibliophobic?" I giggled backing away.

"Yeah potato patoto." He said reaching behind my back. I flinched.

"Please." I said. He laughed and tried again.

"Please!" I cried a little louder than expected. "Please. Just don't." I slowly whispered.

"Hey. Hey. Its ok." He reassured me as he brought me over to the edge of the bed, kneeling down between my legs. "You alright?"

I nodded my head. Geez I'm so pathetic right now. You can do better than this. Pull yourself together Lex. It's just a book. Just a book. Book. His book. His- Oh my gosh his book! I gripped the book tightly on my lap. I felt a tear slowly trickled down my face.

"Shh..." He comforted. "You wanna tell me what's going on?" He asked, lifting up my chin. I shook my head and stood up. He stood up mirroring my movements.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." I whispered.

"No its fine, I understand. We all have our hobbies. For me its music, and I would just about die if someone touched my guitar." He chuckled a little. I laughed a little with him.

"No, its more than that." I said sniffling. I slowly picked up the picture frame sitting neatly on the old wooden desk. I stared at it for awhile. Harry walked up behind me glancing at the photo in my hand.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"It's probably best if I didn't." I said, setting the frame back gently in its place and turning around. "Thank you though." I said giving him a hug. He slowly pulled me in tighter. Man I've only known him for a couple of hours and he's already seen me cry. Poor guy he's probably horrified. I laugh a little at the thought. I pulled apart from the hug.

 "Sorry." I said again.

"Nah It's alright, everybody needs a hug every once in awhile." He laughed. I laughed too.

"Well I guess I'll let you get some sleep then?" I said walking towards the door. "You're welcome to anything you'd like. I'll be just across the hall if you need me." I grabbed the handle.

 "Yeah?" I said turning around.

 "Goodnight." He smiled.

"Goodnight." I smiled back and slowly closed the door behind me.

I walked back to my room and closed the door. I looked at the book in my hands. Edgar Allen Poe. Our favorite. I smiled and hid the book underneath my nightstand. I quietly got dressed in some night clothes, removed my contacts, and laid in bed.

"Goodnight Daddy." I whispered, and turned out the lamp light.
