24. Surprise, part 1

“Annie. Annie. Annie. Annnniiiieeee.” I moaned.

“Just a few more minutes, Dad…”

ANNIE!” I jumped, and my eyes burst open.

“What? Louis? How did you get in my room?”

“I’m not in your room, weirdo.” Louis rolled his eyes. “It’s your last day in Holmes Chapel, and we are going to make it count! We are going to give you the best day ever!!!!!” He flailed his arms around. Zayn moaned from the carpet below, and threw a pillow at Louis.

“Lou, shut up.”

“Come on! Harry made breakfast!” Louis screamed. Niall bolted upright.

“Harry made breakfast?!” He yelled. Hannah moaned, her eyes still closed, and she reached over from her spot on the other side of the love seat, and slapped Niall’s chest.

“Shut up, babe. I’m trying to snooze.”

“But Harry made breakfast!” Niall yelled. He bolted into the kitchen, Louis on his heels. Liam groaned, and stretched, then glared at Olivia, who was up as well. She and Louis were in the dining room talking, and Louis’ arm was stretched over her shoulders. She giggled at something he said, and placed her head on his shoulder. He grinned down at her, and leaned down, whispering something into her ear. She squealed, and slapped him in the chest. Harry walked in just then, carrying two plates filled with pancakes. He set one down on the table in front of me.

“Hurry up and eat. We need to swing by your house and pick up some stuff.”

“Does my dad—“

“He already knows.” Hannah yawned, slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes with the heel of her hands. “I already asked him. He has what you need ready.”

“What do I—“

“It’s a surprise. Now eat!” Niall shoved a huge bite of pancake into my mouth. I glared at him, and started chewing.

We dropped by my house and picked up a small overnight bag that my dad had packed for me. I wasn’t allowed to open it, so Hannah kept it with her the entire time. Harry was driving his mum’s van, and we had all squeezed into the back of it. I sat up front with him; Zayn, Hannah and Niall sat in the middle, and Liam, Louis, and Olivia squeezed into the back. Olivia tapped on her laptop the entire time, with Louis staring over her shoulder and whispering to her. We stopped at a small pharmacy for a few minutes, and Olivia hurried inside. She ran back out a few minutes later, holding a big slim package, and then a littler one. “What are those?” I asked.

“You’ll find out later,” Olivia said mysteriously. She went to go sit next to Louis again, but Liam slid into the middle so he sat between them. She glared at her cousin, who pretended not to notice, then she plopped down next to him, took out her phone, and started tapping away. Louis grinned slightly, then pulled out his phone. I rolled my eyes as Liam pouted. We drove for about a half an hour more, then Harry pulled into a small park.

“We’re here!” He yelled. I raised an eyebrow at him.

“WE’RE GOING CAMPING! WE RENTED A CABIN AND EVERYTHING!” Louis shrieked. I smiled and we all got out, grabbed the bags out of the back, and Harry led us toward the little cabin.  I stopped, and breathed in the pine scented air. Perfect. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and Harry grinned down at me, then leaned down and kissed my forehead. I smiled up at him, admiring the way his curls framed his face, and his adorable dimples. Absolutely perfect.

“What are you lot doing?” Louis yelled as Zayn and Liam threw down their bags and grabbed a log, pulling it to the fire-pit.

“Making a tree house. What does it look like, Louis? We’re getting wood for the fire.” Liam snapped.

“Oh, lads, lads, lads. Forget what they taught you in Scouts.” Louis pushed Liam and Zayn away from the wood, and rolled up his sleeves dramatically. “We’re doing this the Tommo way.”
