Home *3rd Book of What Humans Do Trilogy!*

The things that happened in the years Rue and Harry were together and apart are known but there is a time where all is unknown. No one knows about their wedding, their children, or how it was when they first found their way back to each other. All will be revealed.

*Sorry, I didn't really know how to do this for the story so it's probably pretty awful! The story isn't though ;)*

2. Counting Stars

*Song of the chapter: Counting Stars by OneRepublic*

By the time we had gotten to Harry's parent's house, I was a nervous wreck. I knew it wouldn't happen, but I had a scenario where they got mad and hated me and cut us off from their life and that made Harry hate me.

I think Anne could tell because she kept looking at me weird. I don't blame her, I was showing even though it had only been three months. That's what happens when you're small like me, I guess.

We were sitting at their dinning room table and I felt like I was in an interrogation room. Harry had his hand on my knee under the table. He was trying to help but it wasn't working. "Mum, Robin, we have something to tell you. And it's really good news."

A/N I can't remember if it was Robin or Joe so I just guessed. If I'm wrong, tell me and I'll change it! Thanks!

His mum and step dad simply nodded, hanging on to every word he was saying. I couldn't take that anticipation so I didn't mean to, but I blurt out "I'm pregnant."

The look on his mothers face was multiple expressions. There was sadness, happiness, and relief. The sadness because her baby was having his own baby, I hope.

Robin jumped up in joy. His mum just sat there and started crying. But they were happy tears because she kept looking at me and saying congratulations and smiling. When she finally gained control, she stood beside Robin and they both gave us hugs.

"Have you told your parents yet?" Anne asked Harry and I.

"No, we're going there tomorrow or the day after. I don't know how they're going to act. They aren't very emotional and they are really old fashioned. I just hope they don't get mad," I told her as we sat back down. It was true, I really had no idea how it was going to go. The only person I know 100 % would be happy would be my siblings.

"Well, you're retired from gymnastics now and you're married. You're both 23 so it's not like you guys are breaking any rules. I know how important gymnastics was to your parents so it's not like you were still in it," Robin said.

"Yeah, but I was going to go back as a coach. And I'd have to wait till it's born to do that because it's too risky."

Harry looked at me like I had just stabbed him with a fork. He put his hand on my stomach and said "don't call our child an 'it'!"

"Harry, we don't know what it's going to be yet. What am I supposed to say?"

"Say the baby."

"Fine, I have to wait till the baby is born because it's too risky."

He smiled in victory. "That's better."

"Shut up, Harry."

Anne and Robin were laughing at our stupid bickering. "Have you two picked any names?"

"No, not yet. I think we're waiting to see what the gender is?" Harry said in more of a question as he turned to look at me for approval.

"Yeah, I guess we're doing that."

"What do you guys want the baby to be?"

I looked over to Harry to see he was watching me very closely. "I kind of wanted a boy. I want a little football player. The next Wayne Rooney!"

Harry smiled. "This woman does love her football. I wanted a girl, though. A little Rue. A baby gymnast would be the cutest thing."

We stayed at his parents for the rest of the day until around 5:30 when we had to leave to start packing. The car ride was pretty quiet and once we got home, Harry rushed over to my side to open the door. He was being really caring but very overprotective.

"Harry, I can do things, you know."

"I know you can, but I can do them for you. I just don't want anything to happen to you two."

I just smiled because I was really tired from all the excitement today. "We really should pick some names. We're going to know the gender soon enough."

I was in the living room while Harry was in the kitchen getting something to drink. "I suppose. What were you thinking?"

"I don't really know. I love so many names. But if I had to pick my favorite, it'd be Emmy or Tilly for the girls and for the boys, I like Andrew or Oliver?"

As Harry walked into the living room, he was thinking about the names. "I like those names."

"What about you?"

"I like Darcy for a girl and Logan for a boy."

I thought about the names for a second. "I like those names. Harry, what if I'm not good with the baby? I mean, you know, I'm not the best with children. People say I'm too serious."

Harry scooted over to wear I was sitting and enveloped me with his arms. "Rue, you can't worry about those things. Sure you're serious, but there's nothing wrong with that. You are going to be great. Don't worry about anything. I'm going to be right here for it all."

With his reassuring words, I felt relief flood through me. I adjusted myself to where I was almost laying down and before I knew it I was asleep with his arms around me and his hands on my growing stomach.

Hey guys, like I said in the side note, I couldn't remember his name so if I'm wrong, please comment and tell me so I can change it!

Thanks!
