5. Not Ready

We arrived at the house party at 8 P.M. and returned home at 2 A.M. midnight. It was fun since I spent the whole time with Harry. We talked about our childhood, our backgrounds, and a bunch of other stuff about ourselves.

Harry insisted on driving me back to my room. When we got there, he dropped me off, and I asked him if he wanted to come inside.

He smiled at a picture that I had on my desk, "Is that you and your father?"

I nodded at him while smiling back to him, "I was 3 when my mum took that picture. And that was my last day that I got to see him. The next morning, he didn't wake up from his sleep. We took him to the hospital, but it was to late." I felt a small tear forming in my eye, but Harry swept it away before it can roll down.

He grabbed my chin so I could look into his eyes, "It's going to be okay. I promise. He pulled me into a tight hug and kissed my forehead, "I'll keep you safe."

I closed my eyes as I hugged him. My head was on his chest, "Thank you Harry. For everything."

We released each other from our hug and smiled at each other.

We were silent for a while until she broke the silence, "Well, you better go. It's getting really late."

"Uhm, yeah," I stuttered as I got up from her bed, "Night."

I got out, but just as she was going to close the door, I stopped her. She had a confused look in her face, "What are you doing?" she asked me.

I didn't say anything to her, I stepped closer to her and grabbed her chin up so she can look at me. I carefully pressed my lips onto hers. We kissed for about 5 seconds until she backed out of the kiss, "Sorry Harry, I'm just not ready to be in a relationship yet." She closed the door after she finished her sentence. I left the hallway into my room.

I closed the door as he stood there. He kissed me. I wasn't ready to be in that kind of a relationship. I wanted to just stay friends with him, but I guess he wanted something more. I laid on my bed thinking about what I should do, but I couldn't figure out anything. This was going to be hard...
