Finding Change

Meet Florence de Vere. Flo for short. She's from one of the richest families in London, her parents wanting her to take on the family business. But she has other ideas. She wants to sing, much to her mothers dismay. She's never fit into her mothers lifestyle, the formal dresses and boring parties.
Meet Harry Styles. Part of the big boyband One Direction. 5 years ago his life changed, when he became part of the best thing in his life. But his life took a change for the worst. He started hanging around with the wrong crowd, smoking things he shouldn't, doing things that he shouldn't, piercing and tattooing his body. The other boys try and support him but his job may be coming to an end.
When these two people meet for a one night stand, could both individuals get something they both want out of the result?

6. Chapter 6

*2 months later*
FLO'S POV-
"So will the father be joining us?" The nurse asked me. I squirm around on the bed.

"Umm nope, not today," I smile at her. I look at Effie to my left and she gives me a death glare.

"So this will be a little cold Florence," she tells me, putting a clear liquid on my belly. It makes me shiver. She points to the screen in front of us as the black and white images start to move.

"See there?" She points. "That's your baby," she grins at me. I smile back at her with tears in my eyes. Effie reaches for my hand.

"I can't believe it Flo," she gushes.

"I'll leave you guys to it," the nurse says, leaving us.
I don't stop staring at the screen, it's still sinking it that that's inside me.

"Still haven't told him then?" Effie asks me.

"I don't think I should Effie. It could ruin his life," I tell her honestly. I'd decided not to tell Harry. Truthfully I was scared, I didn't want him to completely reject me and our baby.

"Babe he did this, he deserves to know," she tells me.
I get off the bed and pull my t-shirt over my small bump. Even though it was still boiling outside I pulled my jacket on, covering the bump up.
I still hadn't told my parents about my baby but I guess I couldn't hide it anymore. I decided I would go home and tell them straight away and whatever happens, happens.
Effie drops me off at home and I walk through the door.

"Mother! Father!" I shout. I sit in the living room and wait for them to come in.

"What's up love?" My father asks, sitting on the couch opposite me.

"There's something I need to tell you," I breathe in.

"Hurry up dear, I was very busy," my mother rushes me.

"Okay then. I'm pregnant," I say abruptly. My parents stay silent and I look at them expectingly. My mothers mouth is wide open and my father's head is in his hands.

"You're what?" My mother asks.

"I'm preg..." I start.

"I heard you! I just didn't want to believe it," she says, the warmth gone out of her eyes. This is what I was dreading. "Who's the father?" She asks disgustingly. My father still hasn't looked at me.

"You don't need to know," I stand my ground. I couldn't tell them that it was Harry, from a famous boyband, she'd get even angrier.

"Excuse me? I am your mother! I have a right to know! I'm guessing you're terminating it anyway," she assumes. I immediately see red.

"What?!" I shout standing up.

"Florence," my father warns, finally looking at me. His eyes look disappointed.

"I am NOT aborting this baby!" I shout at my mother. She looks taken back.

"You can't run a business with a baby," she retorts.

"Don't you ever listen to me! I don't want to run this business!" I yell now, my voice getting louder.

"That isn't your decision! You are the heir!" My mother shouts back at me.

"Screw that!" I shout at her. I run up the stairs to my room and slam the door shut. I grab my small suitcase I use for college out from under my bed and start packing my stuff.
I only grab the necessities, leaving all my expensive dresses behind. I didn't want them anyway.
I take my guitar from the stand by my door and make my way downstairs.

"Where do you think you're going?" My mother stops at the door.

"I'm leaving. If you're not happy about my baby then I can't live here anymore," I tell her.

"You have nowhere else to go!" She shouts down the drive at me. I get in my car and wind the window down.

"Wanna bet?!" I shout as I start the engine and drive down the road. I look in my rear view mirror to see my mother standing at the door of the house, with my fathers arm around her shoulders.
I probably shouldn't of left but I just got so angry when she didn't let me think for myself.
