Violent Passions (Book 3)

With a new Alpha pack in town, there's going to be more trouble for Zaira and the gang. With new friends and enemies coming in town, things are bound to get to ugly. Will Zaira be able to hang onto Derek when he falls for someone else? Or will she lose him forever? Will Derek push her into another Alpha's arms? I don't own anything, but my OCs.

23. Letharia Vulpina

I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. I groaned because I didn’t want to be disturbed, but when I looked at who was calling, it was Scott.
“This better be good Scott.” I said as I answered the phone.
“I wouldn’t be calling if it wasn’t. Stiles left the hospital, and did something to the wiring, but he’s safe, and now we need you to meet us on the running field.” Scott said back.
“I’ll be there soon.” I said before hanging up.
I jumped out of bed, took a quick shower, got dressed, and ran to the spot that Scott told me to. You’re probably wondering why I didn’t drive. Well, that’s because I can run pretty damn fast, so I decided to run instead of driving. By the time I got there, Coach was just shot with an arrow.
Coach kept yelling about how was going to die, but Scott, Stiles, Ethan, Aidan, and myself knew that he wasn’t going to die because he had 4 werewolves watching over him. The ambulance finally came to get Coach, and Stiles was reunited with his dad, but that was short lived when all of rushed over to the school because of the bomb that was wrapped in a birthday present. I stayed with my uncle and Jordan as we went to the back of a car, and Jordan started to open it, and get stuff out.
“We wait for the bomb squad.” My uncle told Jordan.
“I’m certified HDT. 2 years in the army. I can at least find out if this thing’s real.” Jordan said as he threw his jacket into the backend of the car, and grabbed something out, and then shut the trunk.
I didn’t know what to think, but all I could say was, “Be careful.”
Jordan nodded his head at me, and I went to stand by my uncle to watch everything unfold. Everything seemed to be going fine until Jordan showed us what exactly was in the box, which was my uncle’s name plate.
“Uncle, does that mean what I think it means?” I asked as I looked at him.
My uncle didn’t say anything, but got on his phone and called the station. That answered my question anyway, so I was good, but I hoped that nobody was hurt. My uncle, Jordan, and I went to the station, and I saw what a complete mess it was. I didn’t know that Scott and Stiles were there because I was focused on Derek and Argent.
“Are you guys ok?” I asked as I got to them. I noticed that Argent was helping Derek stand, and that caused me some alarm.
“We’re ok, Zaria.” Argent replied as he kept Derek steady, and I heard Derek grunt in response.
I took Derek home with me, which was hard because I didn’t have a vehicle, but thank goodness that my uncle had a deputy drive us home. I was thankful for the deputy, but he gave me a weird vibe, but I told him the address for Derek’s loft, and that’s where he took us.
“What are we doing here?” Derek grunted as I helped him into his car.
“That deputy gave me a weird vibe, so I was being safe.” I replied as I drove his car to my house.
I helped him into my house, and tried my hardest to be easy when I was pulling the glass out of his back. When I finally got all of the glass out, I told him that he could stay to heal. I changed into my pajamas and went to lay down.
“I’m glad you weren’t there.” Derek said as he slowly laid next to me.
“Me too, but I’m glad that you’re ok.” I said back with a smile.
Derek smiled back at me, and we both fell asleep. I don’t know what the thing controlling Stiles wants, but I do know that I will not let it hurt anyone else that I care about.
