Her petite body went limp in my blood stained hands, it was done. I lifted her heavy head, shards of glass and gravel pinning to her soft, wet cheeks. I smoothed my thumb across her red cheek, wiping away her salty tears and sweet blood. I ran my fingers through her hair and laid her down softly, her body felt as dense as lead. I checked her body, struggling for breath, jagged and unpromising. I knew her lungs would give up soon, we made them cave in hard enough.

I kissed her crimson forehead and smoothed her clotted hair. "Sweet dreams, bitch." I lit another cigarette and sank my eyes into Jay, I smiled and cocked my head.

Jay began to struggle, his tasseled black hair coated his green eyes, they looked empty and dead, I smiled even more. "Let's hope she dreams of you, maybe you can save her in her dreams."

I turned my back and lifted my right hand, signalling Alex to knock Jay out next to his little princess. I took a long drag out of my cigarette and drove it into Verity's pale skin once more, leaving a black smudge which concealed the gaping burning hole on her hand. I laughed as the smell of her flesh on fire filled the air. I heard Jay cry out Verity's name, and then everything went deathly quiet.

I gazed down at Jay's body and I smirked, I breathed in deeply and crouched next to his lifeless body. I leaned towards his ear and whispered, "If I couldn't have her, then why the fuck should you."

I stood up smiling, I turned and walked out of the alley onto the black void which was the street. Away from her, away from him, away from heart ache. Stone's are strong, and Kian Stone is and always will be hard as the glass snaking its way into Verity's skin. I just hope I don't smash this time.
