3. Unexpected Visit

Still Olivia's POV

What. "What?" I said. "London? As in London, England? For two years? Where 4/5 of One Direction is from?" I stuttered. They both smiled and nodded. I did a quiet yelp and they covered my mouth. I wanted to cry, but because I was so excited. "Why??" "Well, dad's job is transferring him there for two years to check out some news cars that might be made there." Mom said. My dad worked for Ford. I didn't know 100% what he did, but I know he inspected new cars or something.

"Two years? And wait, what was that about new clothes and stuff?" I said. They both looked at each other again. Why did they keep doing that? Just TALK. "Well, we have to leave in literally 1 1/2 weeks. So we don't have much time to pack. So the company said to only bring some clothes, not all, your sheets and bedspread if you want, some other things, not much. So we are leaving quite a bit behind since it's not permanent. So you wouldn't be taking your dresser, book shelf, or desk. They will provide all of that for us." Dad said. I didn't like that.

"I can't take my own clothes? I don't like that." I said skeptically. "That's why you will be getting $800, or 500 pounds for clothes. And then they will already have furniture there for us. They know that this is a hard move for us, so we are all getting our own complimentary Apple laptop!" he said. He smiled weakly. That was cool, but I started to not like this more and more. What about my friends? I couldn't graduate high school in London. I needed my friends! What about my family as well? "Guys, that's all really cool, but come on. Your'e going to make me graduate high school in London?" "Actually it's called secondary education." Mom corrected me. "Whatever. I NEED my friends during this time! I wouldv'e loved to do this two years ago! When I was just starting high school. We can't do this." I then sat back and stared at them.

"I'm sorry Liv, but this isn't optional actually. I'm the one they need to do this." Dad said. Of course. "But do I have to go with you? I can live with Katy!" They shook their heads. "No. You're coming with us. That's not an option. I honestly thought you would be for this more than this. This is where One Direction lives!" Mom said with a stern look. "Yeah I know...." I mumbled. That was pretty cool. I guess  I could use that to help me make the best of it.

"Alright. When do I start packing?" They smiled and my mom ran out of the room and came back in holding cardboard boxes that needed to be assembled and said, "Now would be good."

*1:00 PM Tomorrow*

"I still don't believe this." Katy said, looking at some frames with pictures of us before she put them in the clunky brown box. "You can't just move to London this quickly. Just like that. Why would they tell you a little over a week before you had to move?" "Apparently they didn't want to hurt my last few months of tenth grade." "Well, they kinda just runied my summer. My parents were thinking about taking you and me to the beach or something!" "Aw, come on!" I whined. I loved going to the beach with them! We always stayed for like a week or so, and we hadn't been able to go the past two years because her parents kept putting it off anf forgetting about it. "We had the dates and everything! You think that company will fly you back here in like a month?" I sighed. "I know." she said after seeing my face.

That was the worst part. Apparently, we couldn't even fly home until the two years were up. We only got a maybe on flying back for Christmas. Just for like a week too! This job was apparently that important. The only way I could keep in touch with my friends was over skype and kik. We couldn't text or call because it cost extra. It sucked.

I started to take down a poster of Harry as Katy sighed. "Why, why WHY? My life is over." And she dropped the shirt she was folding and fell down on the floor dramatically. I laughed and sat down next to her. "I know. Me too." "Well at least you will have One Direction to make up for not having me." I rolled my eyes and laughed. "I will not have One Direction. Even if I met them, they would either be in a huge crowd or just take a quick picture and walk away." "I hate to say your probably right. But you never know. You're not ugly." I giggled but frowned.

"I am no where near pretty enough for them." "Shut up." Was all she said to that. She hated when I acted like that. Absolutely hated it. "Alright, just get up and help me pack." I said and dragged her up. She stuck her tongue out playfully and picked up the shirt again.

*Week later*

I was helping my dad take down this really pretty mural we had hanging up in the living room. It was of a jungle with a bunch of animals standing in it. It was from Africa. My aunt had been a missionary there and had brought it back for us. That was one of the 'other things' that we were bring with us. The doorbell than rang.

My dad kind smiled, but I could tell he was trying to hide it. "Who is it dad?" He just smiled and told me to go get the door. "Okay..." And I walked past my mom who had the same grin on her face. Were my parents turning into clowns? I opened the door and there stood Lilly!

"LILLY!!!!" I screamed and she screamed, "OLIVIA!!!" And we hugged and jumped around. Lilly was my best friend who had moved to Knoxville awhile back. Her, me, and Katy were best friends. "Sorry, my parents couldn't come, but they were both working." she said as she stepped into the house. "You drove here my yourself?" I said. "Yeah I got my drivers license a couple months ago and my parents decided to trust me." She smiled. I then looked at my grinning parents. "Did you know about this?" I asked and they nodded and grinned.

I rolled my eyes and smiled and Lilly. "Ooooh does this mean you are sleeping over?" "Yeah! I'm staying until you leave and then I'll drive back home." She said. "I should invite Katy over soon!" I said. She nodded and we started to chatter on and on about everything and I just kept thinking how crazy the next couple days would be.
