Hidden Bright Side {Liam Payne}

Liam was the most popular kid in school, as well as the meanest. When he is hit with the reality stick, he decides to change his ways and become a.. Er- Geek. Things take a bad turn for him and he becomes the most bullied kid in school. Will he survive his new life or will he go back to the old ?

6. Poems

I looked around the room. Mr. Fletcher continued speaking about whatever the book topic for the week was.

"Genevieve, stop looking around, you'll get in trouble again." I did what the voice asked me, thinking it was Archades. However, I remembered that the seat next to mine was Liam's. Archades sat in the back.

I turned my head, hoping it wasn't Liam, while at the same time, I kind of was.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.

His eyes met with mine as I opened another one of his notes. He sat diagonally across from me. I turned to face the teacher as I opened the red envelope in my hands, only to find a piece of paper in it, with a few rose petals. It was simply adorable.

'This letter right here,

It took me a while.

I wanted to write it in a way,

that I'd get to see you smile.

I can watch you grin from a far

And that one simple movement of your mouth

Can light up a million stars

You light up my day, just by being you xx'

I smiled at the poem. I flipped it around to find more words written on it.

'Hello there person. Sorry this is such as short poem, and sorry I wasted your time by having you read this, since you probably don't care. It's only so short since it was the quickest way for me to remind you that you're beautiful, so don't ever change. I hope you have an amazing, peachy tastical day.'

Peachy tastical was basically Liam and my word for everything we love. It was a dead giveaway the poem was from him, and it was only the first of many from him.

I smiled again, looking back to Liam. I changed my smile into a confused smirk, adjusting my eyebrows, to seem more confused. I held up the note to show him what had confused him. I pretended I didn't know who it belonged to, and he shrugged his shoulders pretending it wasn't from him.

"Genevieve, stop looking around, you'll get in trouble." Liam scolded. I shook my head back and forth, adjusting myself in my seat on more time.

When I got home from school that day, I folded up the paper enough so that it could fit in my locket. Liam was watching me try it, giving me looks like I was crazy or something. I left the room afterwards to get snacks, and went back to my room. I creeped towards my door and found him seeing what the note was, and if it was here. It was one of the biggest smiles I'd seen on him.

There weird thing was, that this date was exactly four years ago. He said the same exact thing to me about turning around. Even four years later, he had to remind me about my short attention span.

I shook my head, realizing I had been staring at Liam the entire time I was thinking. I shook my head, faced him one more time with an awkward smile and directed my attention back to Mr. F.

"Ok class, get into groups of 3. No more, no less. Your project will be due into two weeks. Go on now." He shooed his hands in my direction. I got up, facing him directly. I felt shoulders on my hand and found myself in front of Archades.

"Hello group member." He waved at me with the half' rainbow formation.

"Hello fellow group member." I completed the other half of the rainbow. We laughed as he dragged me to the back of the class, pulling me into a hug as we reached our location.

He caught me up on what we had to do. The only problem now was we only had the two of us. We needed another person. I glanced around the room, Liam caught my attention.

"How about Liam?" I suggested willingly. We both looked over at him, he  was sitting on his desk, seeming dazed and upset.

"No... No. No. No. Why would you even suggest that. We're here to succeed Genny. Liam never shows up to class, he never does his work. I surprised he's still in this grade." He said with a grimace.

But you don't know Liam like I do... I wanted to say.

"Come on Archades. Be nice. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I mean he did show up today, didn't he?"

He rolled his eyes at me as I dragged him back to the front where Liam was. Honestly, it was a surprise that Liam was here. He had only showed up to class 6 times out of the 3 weeks we've been to school. He never attended classes when he was upset. He was obviously upset today.. Making that the question of why?
