Status Single (One Direction)

Status Single has been named one of the hottest girl bands of all time. They are constantly being compared to the Spice Girls, and have won almost every award they've been nominated for. Anyone who knows them knows that the five-piece girl band was created by Simon Cowell, who invited five girls he found on YouTube to his office, and they became Status Single. It's easy to tell that the five girls seem familiar to another British/Irish group in the media. Rae, Paris, Callie, Natalie, and Charlotte represent the five members of One Direction, with their crazy antics and down to earth personality. But what happens when the two groups are forced together for a European tour? Will they get along fine, or will drama hit the bus?

2. Hotel House Arrest

Chapter Two

Natalie's POV

Four hours later, we were all back at the hotel. Since Paris' party fiasco, we were forced to stay in this stupid hotel unless we had business elsewhere. Apparently we were allowed to go to the after party that is following the VMA's tomorrow night, but then we have to go.

The five of us were lounging in Rae and Paris' room right now. Rae and Callie were on their phones, while Paris, Charlotte, and I were talking about the upcoming awards.

"I'm really looking forward to this one," Paris exclaimed, "I've been watching the VMA's since I was little, and now I'm nominated for two? This is crazy!"

"We probably won't win," I told her, "But it's nice to be nominated."

"Are you kidding me? 'Back Again' is one of the most viewed music videos on Vevo!" Charlotte reminded me.

"Well, who else is nominated?" I questioned.

"Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, and One Direction," Callie answered without looking up from her phone.

"Rob said we should be worried about One Direction," Paris said, "Though, I've never heard of them. Have you?"

I shook my head, along with Callie and Charlotte. Rae was too busy on her twitter page to clue in to the conversation.

"All I know is that they're a boy band," Charlotte put in.

"Well, we're a girl band, and everyone knows girls rule the world," Paris grinned with a sassy snap and head shake.

"What are we nominated for again?" I asked, "I know there's two."

"Best female and best new," Callie answered. That girl is on her twitter page way too much.

Suddenly, Rae started laughing at her phone. I knew she was reading her mentions now, since she always laughed at the dirty tweets. She was on her back, with her legs up on the desk chair, and her phone at arms length.

Rae was the slut of the group, but not really. She liked the attention she got from the guy fans, but she didn't actually sleep with all of them. Rae had long, dark brown hair that was naturally curly, and big green eyes. She had slightly tanned skin and a bright smile, with dimples at the corners of her mouth. She wore black short shorts, a low cut white t-shirt, and a navy blue blazer.

"Well, One Direction can't beat us in best female, so we really only have best new to worry about," Charlotte said.

"Even if they were girls, we would still kick their sorry asses," Paris stated, "Those bitches are going down."

***

I was only half awake when I felt someone shake my shoulder lightly.

"Natalie?" an Irish accent whispered, "Are you awake?"

"I am now," I muttered, "What's up, Callie bear??"

"Um...it was just some things I read on twitter..."

I immediately sat up and pulled the blonde girl into my arms. Callie has always had a hard time with the haters, even though she probably gets the least out of all of us. Rae probably gets the most, but she's a lot stronger than Callie.

"I don't understand," she sobbed into my shoulder, "What did I do? Why do they hate me? I don't even know them!"

"They do it because they're bored, and you're easy prey," I told her, "They say the same things to me. And Char, and Rae, and Paris. It's not just you."

"How do you do it, Nat?"

I pulled away, but kept my arms wrapped loosely around her. I looked into her crystal blue eyes sadly. I wished, more than anything, that I could tell her something useful. I wish I could have given her a step by step manual on how to ignore the mean words. But I couldn't.

I let out a sigh, "I don't, Callie. It still hurts, no matter how hard I try to ignore it. But you just have to grin and bear it. I wish it wasn't like that, but it is."

Callie pulled away and grabbed a tissue off the bedside table, drying the tears from her eyes.

I got up off the bed and pulled her to her feet.

"Get dressed, O'Brian!" I whispered, "We're going out."

"Where?" she questioned.

I tossed her one of her white zip-up jumpers, and I pulled a baggy black hoodie with the Pink Floyd symbol on it. I grabbed my key card and my wallet, before heading to the door.

"Uh, Natalie?"

I looked back at Callie and raised an eyebrow. She was wearing the white jumper, along with track pants with with "2009" written on the bum. She was looking at me with an amused expression for some reason.

"What?" I questioned.

"Want some trousers?"

I looked down and realized I was wearing girl boxers. That would have been bad.

I quickly pulled on some black skinny jeans, before walking past Charlotte to the door.

"Where are we going?" Callie asked as we got onto the lift.

"The nearest IHop," I said in my best American accent, "Let's get some midnight pancakes."
