6. Chapter 6.

*A/N*

So, here is the next chapter! Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday! There's an A/N at the bottom too, so please read it! :) ~Mel

I wake up to the smell of pancakes. I quickly throw on some tan shorts and a plain, red tank top, and run downstairs.

“Smells delicious!” I say, running into the kitchen.

“I made extra bacon!” Mom says, smiling.

I grab two plates from the cabinet next to the microwave, and set them on the table on the opposite side of the room. I sit down, and take two pancakes and three pieces of bacon. Then I pour a lot of syrup on my pancakes. I dig into the delicious food.

“Whoa, slow down there. This isn’t a contest,” Mom tells me.

“Sorry, I just love pancakes!” I exclaim.

I hear car doors slam shut. Harry, I think.

“Umm, I’ll be right back, Mom.” I run straight into the front hall to slip on my Converse. I turn and open the door, just in time to see Harry outside of his mum’s car. “Harry!” I yell, running down the porch steps.

Harry looks, and smiles at me. “Aubrey!”

I run up and hug him. “Just wanted to say ‘Goodbye’,” I tell him.

“Hey, Aubrey!” I turn to Harry’s mum, who is in the car.

“Hi, Ms. Cox!” I smile at her.

“Would you like to come along? We have room in the car.”

“Oh, that’s okay. I’m not packed or ready,” I answer.

“That’s okay! We’re early! Harry, go help Aubrey pack!”

Harry smiles, and turns towards my house. We walk down the sidewalk, and enter.

“Mom, is it alright if I go with Harry to watch him perform?” I ask.

“You’re going to leave me?” Mom asks. She smiles and says, “Go have fun.”

“Thanks, Mom! You’re the best!” I hug her. Then Harry and I race upstairs.

We reach the end of the hall, and turn left, into my room. I get out my red-orange suitcase from my closet and start to pack. Harry sits in my comfy chair.

“You actually want to come?” he asks, sounding nervous.

“Yeah, it will be fun,” I respond, joyfully. I dig around in my closet.

“What if I fail?” I stop immediately when Harry asks that, and turn towards him.

“You won’t fail, Harry. I know you can do it, you just have to have confidence in yourself. Hey, can you toss me that sweatshirt?” I point to a piece of clothing that’s hanging on the back of the chair. He grabs it and throws it to me. “Thanks.”

Soon, I’m done packing, and we go back downstairs.

“Bye, Mom! Love you!” I hug Mom.

“Bye, have fun! Call me a couple times to tell me how you’re doing.”

“Okay, will do!” I say, smiling. Then I turn and go out the door with my suitcase, Harry following.

“Bye, Barbara! Thanks for letting Aubrey come!” he says as he exits.

“You’re welcome! Good luck!” Mom replies.

“Thanks!” Harry says, then shuts the door.

I pick up my suitcase to get down the porch stairs.

“Let me help you with that,” Harry says, taking my suitcase.

“Thanks,” I say. Harry lifts it up, walks down the steps, sets it down, and takes it all the way to the car. He puts it in the trunk, and I climb in the backseat, making room for Harry. “Thanks for letting me come, Ms. Cox,” I say.

“Please, call me Anne,” she replies. Then she starts to drive to the arena.

Sorry, this isn't the best chapter, but I needed something to fill in. The next chapter will start to introduce more characters, which I will be posting soon.

Now, earlier I said I'd write another fan fiction when I'm done with this one, which I will do. I also want to write a horror story, but I'd like to know, would anyone read it? Please leave your comments, I'd love to read what you have to say! Thanks! :) ~Mel
