18. Chapter 17

"Audrey…Audrey!" Justin whispered-yelled over and over again while shaking her petite body lightly.

Avery was trying to figure out were Jessie had them this time as Justin tried to get Audrey awake. But from what should could see right now: They were in a revolting bedroom. It smelled like ass and mildew. The floor was gray and dusty with little clumps of mold growing in the corners. There was at least a clean bed were Audrey was laying. And a bucket that was the bathroom Avery supposed.

"God dammit!" Justin hissed pounding his fist on the bed making it shake lightly. Avery snapped her gaze toward him quickly rushing to his side. "I don't know what he knocked her out with but she won't wake up." He sighed pulling at the ends of his hair.

"I'm sure she'll wake up Justin. He wouldn't kill her." Avery soothed rubbing his back lightly.
"I know she'll wake up. It's that we need another person to help break out of here. There are only three of us right now." Justin told her.

Avery couldn't help but let her heart drop to her stomach as Justin didn't mention Seth.
"W-What about Seth?" She asked quietly facing Audrey stroking her face lightly. Justin sighed.

"I don't know where he is… so we can't count on him right now." Justin knew that's not what Avery wanted to hear and that she would be stressing about Seth this whole time but he had to be realistic.

Avery let a tear slip her eye landing on Justin's jacket.
"Do you think he's still alive?" She whispered softly biting her lip hoping no more tears would fall. Without hesitation Justin nodded his head. Justin prayed and hoped Seth was still alive. He needed to believe that Seth was alive. There are only four of them left they can't trust anyone else.

They both went silent for a while captured in there own thoughts before they heard a door creak open. They both stumbled to there feet in front of Audrey as a dark shadow appeared as if about to enter.

Avery prayed it was Seth. She had her fingers cross and everything. While Justin just hoped that they weren't going to die at this second.

"Guys?" They heard a male voice whisper. "Are you in here?" It continued.

Justin and Avery both knew it was Ethan but they weren't sure if they could trust him. They both exchanged glances as the footsteps moved closer.

Ethan was fully in the room.

Avery let out a silent shaky breath grabbing Justin's hand and squeezing it. Justin squeezed back telling her he's there.

"I'm not going to hurt you." Ethan said in a regular tone as he looked for the light. "I promise."

Avery turned off the light previously to make it seem like her she Justin weren't in there but it wouldn't help now.

Ethan quickly switched it on revealing Justin and Avery. Her breathing was rapid and her eyes were closed as Justin stood stif and froze taking deep gulps.

Ethan looked between the two hurt flashing his eyes. He didn't choose to go to the other side. Jesse made him for the sake of Justin's gang.

Ethan couldn't think about anything more non threatening then bringing Justin into a tight hug. So that he did. He squeezed him hard just waiting for Justin to react. After a few seconds Justin wrapped his arms around Ethan. A smile spread across Ethan's face as he knew Justin trusted him.

"I'm sorry." Ethan blurted pulling away from the hug. "He made me come. I-I didn't have another choice."

"We'll talk about this later. But whose side are you on right now?" Justin asked feeling a little relieved.

"East side."
