9. Chapter 7: Cafes and Restaurants and Stores and Markets

Wynter's P.O.V.

I heard footsteps but if they were that loud, Alice would've heard it too. I looked over too her and she looked worried. Yup, she heard it. They got closer and closer. We should start running now!! I tired to but my legs wouldn't budge. They were stuck in the mud. UGHH!! STUPID MUD!! I grabbed Pipsqueak's arms and forced my legs to go. I ran through the gooey mud making a squishy noise each time I lifted my shoe. It makes me cringe. Pipsqueak and I started running really fast as soon as we saw it. He was right behind us. Finally, the swamp ended and the only thing up ahead was houses and town. Town it is. I tried my best to get to town ASAP. In town, there are tons of shops. There are cafe's and those little market things that aren't really in a building; just a stand. You got to be careful when you walk/run through these. If you crash, you are forced to take your wallet out. You can also get easily lost in these. That's what I'm hoping for.

  Alice's P.O.V.

She took my into a cute, little town. It was full of vendors and shops and cafes and restaurants I just love it! I wonder why I never go over here. Maybe because I forget. She ran through the streets of it and kept warning me "Watch out." or "Stop" or ''Watch your step''. Its like she knows every crook and crany. Just like the woods. She took me into a store packed with people. Well, not took. Shoved is more like it. "Act natural" she said as she looked at the people in the store. They were holding up money and yelling. An auction. We pushed a bit to get in the middle-ish of the crowd and pretended we needed an antique rocking chair from Queen Elizabeth III? I stood on my tiptoes and waved my hands in the air. I saw her keep an eye on the door. "He's gone" she whispered to me and took my arm. We pushed out of the crowd and walked back to the houses. After we heard footsteps, we broke into a run. She led me too a small, cozy looking house. The door creaked open as we stepped into the cool air.
