Sparks Fly

It's Kylie's first year in England, and also at their Highschool. She came from America, so everything is different than what she is used to. She runs into people that end up being her best friends, and some of her worst nightmares. She isn't what would be considered very popular, so when someone comes and takes her under their wing, everything will finally change for her, but is that a good thing? What will her parents think of him? Will his bad boy name rub off on her?

6. Torn

As the Algebra teacher was going on about our class work, I leaned over to Harry. "Please don't be mad at Liam. I don't want you guys to fight." I whispered so the teacher couldn't hear. "Don't worry. I'm not going to yell at him. I'm just going to calmly address him about how he made you walk alone in the cold." Harry said as he pretended to listen to the teacher. "Since when do you care about me being cold?" I asked, searching his face. "Since I got to know you at your house. You're different from the other girls here. They all literally throw themselves at me. I knew I could get any of them easily. But you, you didn't care, in fact I thought you hated me. It made you interesting." Harry said, not looking away from the board, even though I knew I had his complete attention. I thought about what he said for a minute. He was kind to me, which was weird, since he had the reputation of making girls think he likes them, then leaves them broken hearted in the dirt. "You know, you aren't really that bad of a guy," I started. He finally looked at me. "Really?" He asked, almost shocked. "yes, but i'm still not sure about you yet." I finished. He looked down. "I'll prove it to you that I'm not that as bad as people make me out to be." Harry finished. I smiled at him. Before I knew it, lunch rolled around. I took my spot next to Liam and the open seat, where Harry normally sits for the last fifteen minutes of lunch. I don't know what he does before he gets here, but it's always the last fifteen minutes. The spot next to Niall was empty too, before a girl with medium/long, dirty blonde wavy hair sat down beside him. Niall smiled at her. I was confused. "Who is this?" I asked him. "Oh, this is Jade. She's new to school, so I told her I'd show her around." Niall said, in a sweet voice. "Hi! I'm guessing you are Kylie, right?" She asked, sticking her hand out for me to shake. I took it. "Yeah. Who told you?" I asked, amazed that she knew my name. "Oh, Liam here was talking about you." She responded. "Oh." I said, looking at Liam. He blushed. "Where is Hailey?" I asked Niall. "Oh, We got in a fight, so she decided to leave. Luckily I have Jade here to keep me from getting down."  Niall smiled at here as she blushed. "Hey sorry I'm late." Someone said, putting their hand on my shoulder. I was about to question them, before Harry sat down. "Wow you're early." I joked. "Well, I told you I was going to prove it to you, so if getting to lunch on time will help, so be it." Harry said, as he opened up his lunch. I smiled. Soon lunch ended, and we went our separate ways. I finally made my way to choir, and saw Harry talking to Liam. Liam just stared at the ground as Harry talked. "Hey, am I interrupting?" I asked. They stopped talking and Harry went bak to his chair. "What was that all about?" I asked Liam. "Oh nothing. Harry was just talking to me about picking a song. I'm still sorry about getting your car taken away. Are you sure you don't want me to drive you?" Liam asked. "Yeah I'm sure. Harry is going to drive me. Plus my parents don't want you to drive me." I answered smoothly. "Do you like him?" Liam asked quickly. "Who?" I asked. He hesitated. Afraid of my answer. "Harry." He choked out. "Yeah he's a cool guy I guess." I answered. "No. I mean LIKE like him." Liam asked again. I thought about it for a second." I don't know." I answered. Liam just nodded. "What about me?" He questioned hopefully. I thought about this too. "I don't know." I answered again. He nodded once more, and looked back to the choir teacher. My mind was spinning in all different directions. Why didn't I know? Liam was clearly the wiser choice. He is sweet, and good looking. But there is something about Harry. Something different. I kept trying to remember his bad boy reputation, but I just forget all of that when I'm with him. Then I started thinking about Liam again. He's such a good person to talk to, and trustworthy, so you could tell your deepest, darkest secrets to him, and he would keep them to himself forever.  He also had this cute, boyish charm to him. Then I thought about what Harry said by the door. "Liam isn't good for you..... I' am" And when he kissed me, I could feel the sparks fly. Then I started thinking about the other boys, and how easy it was for them. Louis had Eleanor, Zayn had Perrie, and Niall had Jade. I was torn. I liked both of them in different ways. and I don't know how to choose between them. Before I knew it, class was over. "remember to get with your groups and pick a song! We need to have one by tomorrow!" She said in a sing-song voice.  Harry met me at the door. "Come on, Love. we got to take you home." He said, throwing an arm around my shoulder. I felt Liam's eyes on us, and I felt bad for him.I walked with Harry into the parking lot to his car. He had a nice car. not to fancy or expensive, but not a piece of junk either. Perfect for a first car. I got into the passenger side, and we made our way down the road, until we made our way into my neighborhood. "So, have I changed your mind about me yet?" Harry asked, giving me a cheeky smile. "Not quiet yet, but you're getting there." I smiled back. "Well, that's better than nothing. Do you have any idea about the song we should do for choir?" Harry asked, keeping the conversation going. "Not a clue." I answered, sort of laughing. "Maybe something will come to us tomorrow morning on the way to school." Harry answered as he pulled into my driveway. "Thank you for driving me." I said, opening the door to get my stuff. "No problem. I'm going to text you. ok?" He asked. I smiled and nodded, before I closed the door. I watched him pull out of my driveway, as I waved at him. He honked, and drove way. I smiled to myself as I walked into my house. My parents weren't home yet, so I just went upstairs. I checked my phone, and sure enough, there was a text from Harry.

(Harry) "Hey, I was thinking maybe we can have a sleepover again. ;)"

I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"In your dreams! But if we have to I can whip out the pink plastic fork for you. ;)"

(Harry) "Omg, not the fork again."

I laughed.

"That was a pretty fun night, you know, without the hiding and stuff."

(Harry) "Yeah it was. It was fun actually getting to know you, like outside of school."

"Yeah. Maybe you aren't so bad after all."

(Harry) "I'm glad you are seeing it my way. I've got to go, my mum is calling me. I'll see you tomorrow."

I clicked my phone off and sighed. This was going to be tough for me, and these two were only making it harder.
