Grace's POV

I looked at my watch. It was only 6:45. There was still over two hours until the tickets for the show went on sale; I had to do something to keep myself from getting antsy. Liam noticed my fidgeting.

"Babe, want to go out and get something to eat? I know you're anxious but there's loads of time before the sale."

"I was just about to suggest the same." I got up from the couch and went over to get my purse. I didn't really want food, but I needed a distraction.

"Oh my gosh!" I smacked my head with my hand. "I never announced the meet and greet!"

"Well you might want to mention that," Liam chuckled.

I quickly typed out a tweet.

@kathgracemusic
"Hey everybody! Due to a high number of requests I've added a meet and greet to the show on Sunday! Can't wait to see you! Tickets on sale at 9:00 pm :)"

"Eeeek let's go!" I squealed to Liam as I began jumping up and down. "I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait!"

"Grace, chill out," Liam said as he put his hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

"Sorry. I'm just excited," I replied as I stopped jumping, out of breath.

"I understand, Grace." Liam couldn't help laughing. "Let's go out."

I grabbed my bag and made sure I had my phone before we headed out the door.

Liam's POV

I held the door open for Grace as we walked out of my building, holding hands. When we saw the paps, I felt Grace's grip on my hand tighten. She still wasn't used to the constant attention.

I quickly led her to the car and opened the door for her before I climbed in the driver's seat.

"So what do you want to eat?" I asked Grace.

She shrugged. "I'm not super hungry. Whatever you want."

This was getting weird. When we were first together, Grace always had an appetite. Now, suddenly, she never seemed to want to eat. She had literally taken the cheese off of her pizza when we had hung out with Harry and Leah. I could only hope that it was some sort of stomach bug.

"You've gotta eat something, G."

She cocked an eyebrow at me. "G? Is that a new nickname?"

I shrugged. I guess it had just kind of come out. "If you want it to be."

I loved the way her cheeks turned red as she blushed. "I think it's kinda cute, Li... Aww we're Li and G." She let out a giggle.

"Okay, G." I grinned as I rolled my eyes. " So where am I driving to?"

Her mood instantly changed as she let out a sigh. "I told you, anything works for me."

"How about Subway? I'm up for a sandwich."

"Sounds good," she replied.

I saw her pull her phone out of her purse out of the corner of my eye as I pulled away from the curb.

"Exactly 1 hour and 58 minutes until 9!"

She really needed to calm down. I knew that this was a big deal, but what would happen if no one bought tickets? Yeah, based on the response to her tweets so far, that was unlikely, but I just didn't want to see Grace get hurt.

"I know you're hyped, babe, but if you get too worked up about it now, you won't have any energy to put on a great show."

"I know, Li... I'm just can't stop thinking about it!"

"Maybe I can help with that. What have you been working on lately?" I started a conversation, hoping to divert her attention.

"Not much, lately. I've been pretty busy with your album and everything with Andrea! Ahh! She's coming home tomorrow!" She looked at me, wide-eyed as she covered her open mouth with her hand.

I chuckled. Grace always seemed to forget about something. "Glad you remembered to tell me. Is there anything you need to get for her before them?"

She slowly shook her head. "I don't think so... Maybe just a welcome home banner or something?"

"We can have all the boys help decorate the apartment!" I liked surprises like this.

"Aww Liam that would be perfect!" Grace said excitedly. "She would love it!"

"Should we text them now? We can do it tonight so it's ready when she gets home."

"Yes yes yes! I'll text, you drive." She grabbed my phone out of the car console and typed a group message.

About a minute later, I pulled up in front of Subway. "Let's go!" I told her.

We hopped out of the car and entered the restaurant. "Zayn, Perrie, Louis, Eleanor, Niall, Harry and Leah are all in! They'll be by my apartment around 8:30," Grace told me as we stood on line to order.

"Great! Now, what do you want to eat?"

"Umm, I'll have a 6-inch sub, on Italian bread, with teriyaki chicken please," she told the Subway employee.

I ordered a footlong meatball sub and waited for the sandwiches to be ready.

"No cheese, please. Lettuce, tomato, and oil. Yup, that's it. Thank you," Grace said as she finished ordering her sandwich. I was really worried about her appetite and her eating habits, but I didn't feel like I had enough evidence to tell her that I was concerned that something was wrong.

I paid for the food, and we sat down to eat. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash. I looked up from my meatball sub and saw a pap snapping a picture. They were truly ignorant to the concept of privacy. I turned my attention back to Grace.

"How's your sub?"

"Good," she replied, nibbling on her bread. I'm not sure she noticed the camera outside. Not that it really mattered; I never wanted her to change for the public. She was perfect just the way she was.

I finished my sandwich lightning fast and waited for Grace to do the same. She ate the chicken and lettuce, leaving most of the roll behind.

"Are you sure you had enough to eat?" I asked her.

Grace looked at me and nodded. "Yup."

"We should head back to your place then, before the others arrive. Want to stop and get some sodas and stuff?" I knew the boys' habits; it was always good to have refreshments on hand.

"That's a good idea. I know Niall will likely eat me out of house and home."

"He definitely will."

We walked out of the restaurant, climbed into the car, and drove off.

I pulled over at a small market so that we could get some snacks. Grace picked out the cheese doodles and crisps, while I grabbed a couple bottles of soda. Soon we were back in the car, headed towards the apartment.

"Leah just texted me to say that she's got the decorations covered. She and Harry are on their way back from dinner, and they're stopping to pick up some balloons and things." Grace told me as we walked through her door and collapsed onto the couch.

"Great. It's about 8:00 now, so we have some time to just chill," I replied, putting my arm around her and pulling her close. I could feel her body start to relax as she settled in next to me. She scrolled through her twitter before putting her phone down and turning to me.

"Liam?"

"Mhmm," I replied.

"How do you really cope with a life like this? There's absolutely no privacy. Everything is out on display. I always wanted to be a musician, but this really seems like a crazy way of living."

"It is. But I've had to accept that it's how my life is. As I said, I have to appreciate the good things. There are the ups and the downs, but somehow it'll all work out." I kissed her cheek. "It seems daunting, but I promise you, it's rewarding too. You know that feeling you get on stage, that high from the adrenaline rush?"

Grace nodded as I continued. "Imagine that being your life. Literally being paid to write and perform and meet fans and work hard. That's a feeling like no other."

"I want to make people happy. To put smiles on their faces, and change their lives, even a tiny bit." Grace looked me in the eyes.

"You can do that, G. I know you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Don't let the press get in the way. They will say the ridiculousness that they want to say, but you will always know the truth."

"Thanks, Li. That means a lot." She smiled as she put her head on my shoulder. "I might just take a ten-minute snooze..."

When I looked down, she was fast asleep. The girl had worn herself out from the excitement about the show. I held her in my arms as she slept, and gently stroked her hair. She looked so peaceful and at ease; if only she could be that way more often when she was awake.

A/N
Sorry it's kinda short:(! I'm trying to just add some "sensitive" moments with Grace and Liam... So their relationship is more detailed.

I can't even explain how happy it makes me to read your feedback and comments... and replying to each other about predictions! so thank you! :)

Here's the deal:

The reason I can update so often is that I wrote most of these chapters over the summer, when I had a lot of time on my hands.  I only have a handful left before the updates will only be about once a week (usually Saturdays).  So, you lovely readers have two options:

A) I continue posting daily updates until I run out of pre-written chapters and then chapter updates will be once a week or

B) I space out the updates to every couple days so that the wait for a new chapter won't be as soon

I hope this makes sense... Please comment which one you would prefer!

(This book has over 500 reads... so silent readers, even though you don't comment, I know you're there, and I would really appreciate your opinion too -please :D )

Thank you all for reading!
