After finding each other, they decide to go and look for everyone. But, where could they be? Little did they know, everyone else was killed, but no one lived to tell what is was that killed them.

5. Chapter Four

The room slowly lit up, as I had found myself tied to a chair. A rag had been covering my mouth, and the images of other people the exact way, had proven my suspicion. We're being held hostage. Who else was here anyway?

"Oh, it seems you've woken up, David. That is your name, right?" A distant voice said. It was very even, and a bit glossy. Almost programmed. "Well, I suppose you can't speak, you've got a rag in your mouth. So I'll answer your questions now." It said.

I could see properly now, and I saw Senator Matos, The Vice President, and another woman. I looked around, only to find more people behind me. There were mothers, children, babies even. But, I couldn't find the person behind the voice.

I wriggled the rag out of my mouth. "Where am I? Where's Dottie?" I yelled. A deep laugh came from far left.

"Why would I tell you where you are? Nobody else knows. And, who's Dottie?" It asked. Snap. I'd forgotten she had been placed in hiding. "Is she a daughter of yours?" The voice asked, although it sounded sure.

"No, just a girl I know." I admitted. It was still the truth. "Why do you want to know?" I questioned.

"David, it hurts to know you'd lie to me. I know who Dottie is. I know her better than you, as a matter of fact." What is she getting at?

"Nobody knows Dottie better than me. Not even her mother." I said.Even though she died, it's true. "Why do you think you know her better than the man who raised her?"

"Because, David, I've been watching my daughter for years. You thought I'd been dead, hadn't you?" She said, stepping out of the shadow. Not only had my wife looked as young as before, but she also acquired metalic accessories.

Her right arm had being replaced, but left uncovered by flesh. Along one of her ears, a silver wire looped around, and went into a chip in her temple. Her voice sounded different now that she was closer. It was more robotic.

"Well, I'm not dead. And, I told you that one day I'd rule the world," She said, placing a cold finger one my nose, " I just didn't think it had to happen like this," She finished, showing off a pistol, and then pointing it to one of the sleeping children.

"Louise, don't." I pleaded, "What if that child was Dottie? Would you really kill your own child?" I asked. She's insane.

"Oh, David. You know I would." She whispered, pulling the trigger, and pointing again. The process went on, and people were silenced. I remember hearing the shot, and seeing the gun to my chest.

  Run, Dottie, run.
