“Say it, Iri.” He hisses through gritted teeth. I shake my head, looking down to avoid his piercing blue eyes that were penetrating my own.
“Say it.” He repeats, louder this time. I shake my head once more before his arms are suddenly pinning me up against the brick wall behind me and my body is arched to his. I gasp in shock and his finger-tips press softly into my waist; causing me to shiver under his touch.
“Say it, Iri.” He smirks slightly, eyes trailing over my face and finally landing on my lips. I draw in a deep breath and look up to see his eyes mirroring my own.
“I-” My words are cut off by his lips crashing to my own.

1. Chapter 1 - Rain Water

Opening the door to the apartment, I step inside and shake out my hair. I was soaked.
"Stupid weather," I mutter to myself as I look down at my body. My clothes were sticking to my body and my shoes were an off grey colour with rain water. I clench my toes and cringe at the feeling of water on my socks. Groaning, I pull them off and pad across the carpeted floor, placing my shoes and socks on the radiator. I look through the window of our apartment and observe the wet city beneath me. It was a grey scene with scattered bursts of colour from umbrellas sheltering people from the harsh rain violently falling from the sky. Mae wouldn't be back for another hour so I had the apartment to myself. Which only meant one thing; music. I cross the hall to the bathroom, turning the hot water on and undressing. I throw my clothes into the washing basket before jumping into the shower and allowing the hot water to return my skin to a normal colour again. Getting out a while later, I wrap a towel around myself and my hair and head out of the bathroom and into the living room. I place my phone on the speaker and grab the remote; turning up the volume as one of my favourite songs plays from the speakers. I head back to my room, still singing along to the song, and pull on a pair of jogging bottom, an oversized t-shirt, wrap my wet hair in a messy bun and wipe off traces of make-up from around my eyes. I spend the rest of my hour alone dancing around the apartment whilst cleaning up traces of mine and Mae's night in last night.
"Iri!" The sound of Mae's soft voice floats down the hall and before long she's bursting through my bedroom door.
"Hey," I say and she grins cheerfully. I had finished cleaning everything so I look around for something to do. pull out my nail-polish from the drawer beside my bed and begin to paint over the chips on my middle-finger nail as Mae takes a seat on my bed. Me and Mae had been friends since we were both eleven. Through secondary school, we'd been inseparable and then decided to get a flat together once we both left school. I was taking a gap year, working in the local book-shop as I was still undecided as to what I wanted to do, but Mae knew she wanted to be a professional dancer.
"What are you so happy about?" I ask her, raising my eyebrows. Mae was a tall girl with long blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes; she looked as though she belonged on the cover of a fashion magazine. Where as I was short, barely five foot, with long dark hair past my waist that fell in unruly waves and dark green eyes with a hint of hazel.
"Nothing," She chimes innocently, bright eyes gleaming. She was perched on the end of my bed with her back resting against the back-board, hands underneath her and she was practically bobbing up and down.
"Spill," I demand, blowing softly on my nail, eyeing her from where I sit opposite her.
"Okay, fine!" She pushes off the mattress to stand on top of the bed. I chuckle as I watch her jump around my bed like a four year old on Christmas morning.
"I got the place at NYAOD!"
