22. A Big Surprise

~Just letting you know that this chapter has quite a few pictures.~

*1 month later*

"Bye boys! See you in two weeks!" I said giving each of the boys a hug. The boys have been touring for the past month and finally they get a break. "Bye." they all said in unison. They turned around and all went in different directions towards their planes. "Are you ready?" Harry asked me. "Yep!" I said excitedly. I grabbed onto his hand and we walked to the gate.

The plane ride went pretty well. Only a couple fans came up to us. We landed in Cheshire. We got off the plane. "Harry!" a lady with dark brown hair said, running towards Harry. "Mum!" he said wrapping his arms around her. "I've missed you so much." she said with tears forming in her eyes. Harry kissed her cheek. "I've missed you, too, mum."

Standing next to Harry's mum was a tall, skinny girl with brown hair. She was very pretty. She was smiling and looking at Harry. "Gemma!" Harry said, letting go of his mum and hugging the girl. She hugged him tightly. Harry's mum looked at me and smiled. "Well you must be Haley. I'm Anne. Harry's mum. It's so nice to finally meet you. Harry has told us so much about you." she said, giving me a big hug. "Nice to meet you, too, Mrs. Cox." I said smiling. "Please, call me Anne." she told me.

"This is Harry's sister, Gemma." "Hi. I'm Haley." I said, putting my hand out for her to shake it. "Gemma." she said, just standing there. She glared at me. I pulled my hand back. "Well let's go. I see we've been spotted." Anne said. Harry wrapped his arm around my waist and we started walking. We were followed only by a few girls. Once we got outside we went to the car. We all climbed in.

We drove to their house. I got out of the car. We walked into the house. It was small but quite cozy. "Robin! We're home!" Anne yelled. A man came out of the kitchen. "Harry! Hello!" he said. He gave Harry a quick hug. "And who's this beautiful young lady?" "This is Haley. She's my girlfriend." Harry said smiling. "Hello, Haley. I'm Robin. Harry's step-dad." he said shaking my hand. "Hello." I said.

Harry carried our bags up the stairs and into his room. I followed him. His room was small, but it was quite nice. He set my bag on the ground and looked at me. "So, what do you think?" I smiled. "It's nice." I sat down on his tiny bed and chuckled. "Babe, how are both of us going to fit in a twin bed without one of us falling off?" I asked. "I don't know. But we'll make it work." he told me. Harry went downstairs to spend time with his family. I figured I'd let them have a little time alone. Plus, I was pretty tired, and it was getting late. So I climbed into bed and fell asleep.

I woke up the next day and found a set of clothes neatly stacked at the end of the bed. I put them on and made my way downstairs. "Where's Harry?" I asked Gemma. "He's outside." she said in a mean tone, giving me a sour look. I cocked my head to the side as I was very confused by her actions.

I went outside and didn't see him. All of a sudden, everything turned black as someone tied a piece of fabric around me eyes. I jumped. "It's okay. It's just me." a familiar voice said. I relaxed. "Harry what are you doing?" I asked. "Shh. It's a surprise."

He guided me over to the car and helped me sit down in it. He closed the door. I heard him climb into the other side and start the car."Where are we going?" I asked. No response. I sighed and just sat there. Staring at the black nothing covering my eyes.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked him. "Sure." he said. "Well when I went downstairs and asked Gemma where you were, she used a mean tone and gave me a sour look. Is she normally like that?" "No not at all. She is always very nice to everyone. I have no idea why she did that." Harry said, sounding shocked. "Maybe she's just having a bad day." I sighed. We drove in silence for the rest of the ride.

I felt the car make a sharp turn and then stop. I knew we pulled into a driveway. I heard Harry get out of the car. He opened my door and pulled me out of the car. "Can I look yet?" I asked. "Not yet." he said. He walked me over a few feet and stopped. I felt him start to untie the blindfold. "Are you ready?" he asked, his voice filled with excitement. I nodded.

He pulled the blindfold away from my face. My jaw dropped and my hands went over my mouth. "Harry, i-is this...ours?" I stuttered. He nodded. I smiled and tears slowly started coming to my eyes. I stared at the giant house in front of me. It was absolutely beautiful. I turned to Harry. He had a big grin on his face. I jumped into his arms. He picked me up and spun me around. "It's amazing." I whispered into his ear.

We walked hand in hand up to the door. He pulled out a key and opened it. I gasped when I saw the foyer. It was a brilliant white with pops of black. "Harry! It's so modern. I love it!" I said smiling.

We walked down the white hallway into the living room. It was so cozy. It was also modern. It had a soft, comfy couch and two chairs. It also had a rather large flat screen hanging on the wall.

Next we went to the kitchen. It was big and had a lot of space. I softly brushed my finger tip across the smooth, granite counter top. It was nice.

We went to the basement. It was just a small hallway with two doors. I opened the first door and saw the laundry room. It was very bright. I liked it.

I walked back out into the hallway and opened the second door. I couldn't believe what I saw. "A theater room!" I gasped. "Harry, I think you are trying to spoil me." I sat down in one of the leather recliners. There were three rows of seats. Each seat had cup holders and gave back massages. Harry walked onto the little stage in front of the screen. "Look at this." he said. He closed the curtains and then opened them back up again. I smiled. "That's so cool." I said. He pointed to a container on the ground. I opened it. "3-D glasses? Wow. This place has everything!" I said excitedly.

We walked all the way up to the third floor. He opened a door that revealed the master bedroom. "Look at the view! It's so beautiful." I said, walking out onto the balcony. You could see everything. Miles and miles of vegetation and a house here and there. "Wow." I breathed.

We went and saw the bathroom. The shower was really big. There was a huge Jacuzzi tub in the corner. I got in it and sat down. "Three of me could fit in here!" I exclaimed. Harry chuckled.

We walked a little more and found the guest room. It was very light and nice.

There was one more door. "What's in here?" I asked, opening the door. It was an empty room. "How come it's empty?" I asked curiously. Harry smiled. I realized what he was thinking. "Maybe someday." I said, kissing his nose. I smiled at the thought of hearing the stomping of little feet running around the house one day. Maybe. Hopefully.

"Let's go outside now." I said. "Wait. One more room." Harry said, opening a door, revealing some stairs. "Wow. This house is huge." I said, following Harry up the stairs. The stairs went around in circles until we reached the top. It was the most beautiful room and view I had ever seen. You could see the whole city of Cheshire. Buildings everywhere. It reminded me so much of home, back in New York. In the room was a massive grand piano. And behind the piano in the corner of the room was a beautiful guitar on a stand. I ran my finger tips down the keys on the piano. It sounded beautiful. I smiled. I hadn't played the piano or guitar in over two years. I used to be pretty good at it. "You play?" Harry asked. I shook my head. "No." I lied, not wanting to bring back memories.

We walked back downstairs to the main floor. We went outside to the backyard. "Holy crap there is a pool?!" I said excitedly. I looked at the clear blue water. Behind the pool was a covered sitting area with a grill. The pool had a hot tub built into it. At one end of the pool there was a small basketball hoop in the ground. It was so cool.

I looked over at the grassy area. There was a big tree with something in it. It seemed to be a..."No way." I said, shocked. I walked over to the tree. "Go ahead." Harry said smiling. I took one more look at the large tree house before I walked inside.

The interior was absolutely amazing. It had everything. Even plumbing!

"Harry it's so awesome." I said walking back out of the tree house. I at the large house. I frowned. "What's wrong, love?" Harry asked. "I just kind of feel bad. This house must have been so expensive. You should have told me. I would have helped pay." He shook his head. "Haley I wanted to buy this for you. For us. And the price doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're happy. And are you happy?" he asked. I nodded. He smiled and pecked my lips.

We walked back inside the house and sat down on the couch. "When are we moving in?" I asked. "Well we should probably stay at my mum's while we're on break; so after the tour is over." he said. "When is that?" "Late September sometime." he told me. We sat there and just talked for about an hour. We went back to the car and drove back to Anne's.

"So how did you like it?" Anne asked as soon as we walked through the door. I looked at Harry and smiled. "It was simply marvelous." I said. "Dinner will be ready in about five minutes." Anne said and walked into the kitchen. "Where's Gemma?" I asked Harry. "Probably in her bedroom." Harry said. He waked into the kitchen to help his mum finish dinner.

I went upstairs to Gemma's bedroom. I lightly knocked on the door. "Who is it?" her voice rang. "Haley. Can we talk?" I asked. She was silent for a few seconds. "Come in." she finally said, sounding very cautious. I opened her door. She was sitting on her bed reading a book. "What do you want?" she snapped. "Why are you being mean to me, Gemma? Is it something I said or did?"

She looked up at me. "I just don't want you to be like the rest of them." she sighed. "The rest of who?" I asked, concerned. "Harry's girlfriends. They all say they love him, and then they break his heart and blame him for all their problems, when he isn't the problem; they are. I don't need my baby brother getting his life ruined by another slutty girl." she said. I looked at the ground and tried not to cry. "Oh. I'm sorry, Haley. I didn't mean it. I was just aggravated, that's all."

I walked over to her and sat down on her bed next to her. "Gemma. I love Harry for who he is. The last thing I would ever want to do to him is hurt him. Even if our relationship doesn't work out, I won't blame him for anything. I could never do that to him. Or you." Gemma looked into my eyes.

"I know, but, Harry's just never gone this far in a relationship before. He's never moved in with a girl. And I don't want him to forget us or move on from us." she said, her eyes turning watery. I put my hand on hers. "Harry will never forget his family. He loves you guys too much. Even if we do take a big step in our relationship, he will never move on. I'll make sure of it." Gemma smiled at me. I gave her a hug and she hugged back. I pulled away and stood up.

"I promise that I won't hurt Harry or you in any way. Remember that." I said, walking out of the room. Right before I closed the door, Gemma said, "Haley. You are the best girlfriend Harry has ever had. I know you two will stay together for a long time." I closed the door and smiled.

I walked back downstairs. "Mmm. Dinner smells good, Anne." I said, taking a deep breath. "Thank you. It's tacos." "Tacos!!!" Harry cheered. I giggled. Gemma came downstairs with a big smile on her face. "Hey mum, hey Harry. Dinner almost ready?" "Yep." Harry said walking over to her. He gave her a big hug and kissed her forehead. I smiled. They are such a cute brother and sister pair.

We all sat down at the table and ate. "I love tacos." Harry said. We all nodded in agreement. After dinner, me and Harry helped clean up. "So, did you and Gemma work things out?" he asked me. "Yeah. Everything's great now." "Good." he said smiling. After we were done cleaning up, we joined Harry's family in the living room. They were watching a movie.

"What you watching?" I asked. "Love Actually. It just started." Gemma said. "I love that movie!" Harry said, plopping down on the couch. I sat down next to him. I cuddled up next to him and rested my head on his shoulder. "Thank you for everything." I whispered into his ear. He smiled. "Anything for my baby girl." he whispered back. He kissed the top of my head and we fell asleep in each others arms.
