Out of Time (Zayn Malik Fanfiction)

“Sometimes I feel like I was mistaken, you must be an angel. Sit down and teach me what life is all about. I see myself changing no longer a stranger; you gave me a reason to never die. You are my only hope…”

Zayn Malik.

One afternoon, one homeless person and one mistake he did changed his life forever.

Because he’s cursed. Cursed to live forever.

The only way to lift the curse is to receive a kiss and to be loved back by a girl who he’ll fall in love with. But it wouldn’t be so easy if he were a wanted criminal. Right?

Tick tock, time is running out. He only has a limited amount of time left and if he’s not able to lift the curse before time runs out, the curse stays with him forever.

“Love isn't easy, but it must be fought for. Because once you find it, it can never be replaced.”

12. Chapter 12.

I sighed and went out of the room.

“What happened in there?”

“Oh, Niall! You scared me!” I chuckled.

“Nothing happened. Zayn just got pissed at me. Again” I sighed and looked at his eyes.

“Oh, Um, I was wondering if you’d like to spend the day with me. Yeah?”

He scratched his neck and looked down. I could see a blush creeping on his cheeks. Aww.

“Sure, I would love to.” I smiled and he looked up smiling.

He took my hand and started dragging me to wherever we’re going.

I realized we were going to kitchen and when we reached there, he gestured me to sit down on one of the stools.

“Okay, since its 12 in the afternoon, I’m making you lunch.”

“What are you making?”

“It’s a surprise.” He shot me a wink and began cooking.

“Here you go!”

“Wow. Thanks.” My mouth began to water by just staring at the plate of food in front of me.

Niall made me lasagna, one of my favorite food.

I began to dig in the food with a fork.

Niall then sat in front of me with a plate of food; steak.

We ate in silence. It wasn’t awkward silence; it was peaceful silence, actually. I actually like Niall, as a friend of course. Even though I’ve only got to know him for 2 days, I know we’d be good friends. I know Niall cares for me because the night when Zayn almost hit me with his belt, he came barging in the door to save me, and I’m proud to say that he’s my only friend here.

While on the other hand, Zayn said he wanted to start over with me, but I can’t seem to trust him and he never seem interested with me anyways. Forget about my escaping plan, my life already sucked before I ‘arrived’ here anyways. If I escaped, it wouldn’t really make a big difference.

After Niall and I finished our peaceful lunch, he dragged me up the stairs and onto the roof.

“You’re not going to push me off the roof. Right?” I said jokingly.

“Of course not.” He laughed.

He walked to one of the couches and lay down. He gestured me to come lay down beside him. We stared at the beautiful sky above us; the sky is all blue, birds chirping and flying over us, and the wind, breezy. It surely is a beautiful day. I wish I could go out of this house and hang somewhere else with Niall. But the roof works too.

“Want to play 21 questions?”

I smiled and sat down, crossed my legs beside Niall. So he was lying down on the big couch while I sat beside him.

“You start.” He smiled.

“What was the best decision you have made so far in your life?”

“Working for Zayn.”

He chuckled. “It’s my turn to ask.”  He smirked.

“When was your first kiss?”

I bushed at his question; “A few years ago, with my past boyfriend.”

“Oh.” His face fell into a frown.

“Why was working for Zayn your best decision you’ve ever made?”

“Because if I turned down his offer a year ago, I wouldn’t get to meet you. I wouldn’t be talking to you right now.”

I blushed at his answer. Madeline, you should stop blushing.

“Do you still have feelings for your past boyfriend?”

“Nope. He’s a total douche.” I rolled my eyes.

He chuckled and answered “Good.”

“If you could live forever, would you?”

He made a sheepish smile, “Um, No.”

We continued to play our little game and did some other things until it was around 4pm. I got to know him better and I feel like I could trust him with anything now.

“Hey Niall.” I tilted my head to the left because we were both lying down on the couch.

“Yeah?”  He looked down at me with those pretty blue eyes.

“Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure.” He said unsure.

“Why does Zayn have an hourglass?”

“Um, well,-“

Before he could answer my question, someone’s voice interrupted us.

“Madeline.” The voice said sternly.

Niall and I both looked to the source of the voice. It had to be Zayn. I mentally rolled my eyes and stared at him.

“What?” I tried sounding nice, but instead it came out a bit harsh Oops.

“I got to go.” Niall stood up from our comfortable position and went down the stairs.

I stood up and tried walking down the stairs but failed, because Zayn pulled me back by my waist.

“Yes?” I asked him.

“Do you like Niall?” He asked. I suddenly felt bad for him because I can clearly see sadness in his eyes.

“As a friend? Or more than just friends?” I played dumb.

“More than just friends.”

“Um, why do you care?” I rolled my eyes, trying to get off his arms.

He lets go of me and I tried to walk down the stairs again but I failed once again because of Zayn. He held my wrist and made me look at him.

“Will you please have dinner with me?”

“No thanks, I’m not hungry.”

“Oh. Okay then.”

I looked at him and his face fell into a frown. His usual tough looking face was no longer there; instead, it’s replaced with a sad one.

He didn’t say anything else, he walked pass me and went down the stairs.

I do feel a bit guilty.
