Cora is a normal 17 year old girl, she has a barn, and has her friends who have her back. Her father died three years ago and her and her mother dont spend very much time together anymore. But when a cougar attacks Cora and she is saved by a siren named Tuari, they go through the challenges of the water curse together. Even though Cora and Tuari live together and they know each other quite well, does Cora know Tuari well enough? Is Tuari all she says she is? Will Cora ever put the pieces of the mysterious attacks together or will it lead to a place she doesnt want to go?

~Kota~

Dancing with Tuari wasn't exactly something I really wanted to do but she really wanted to and I thought 'Eh, why not'. I hadn't seen Cora yet so I didnt think she would see us. But as we danced Tuari had a smirk on her face that made me think she was planning something, "Tuari why are you smirking like that?" Her smirk grew, "Because Kota, Everything is happening the way it should." I didnt know what she meant so when I looked up I saw her. Cora, dancing with Jake Tanner in the middle of the crowd. When I saw her start running away I let go of Tuari and ran after her. As she ran up the stairs I tried calling her name but she didnt stop. I heard a door slam when I was halfway up the stairs, and when I reached the top I heard a silent crying and opened the nearest door to me to find Cora crying into the pal of her hands. I closed the door behind me and stood there, "Cora? I am so sorry." She looked at me tears streaming down her face, "For what Kota? I have no say in who you date." My eyes widened, "I don't want to date Tuari, not now and not ever." Cora's face softened for a moment, "Really? So thats why you came here together and were slow dancing right?" I sighed, "She said she had some plans for you, but you were ignoring me so I thought I would go so I could see you." More tears streamed down her cheeks. I sat down beside her and looked right at her, "Im sorry for ignoring you." I nodded, "I know. I can understand why you did it." She smiled a bit and put her head on my shoulder, "Kota?" I put my arm around her, "Yes?" she sighed, "Please take me home." I nodded, "Of corse."
