Spirit of Wolf and Water

Cora is a normal 17 year old girl, she has a barn, and has her friends who have her back. Her father died three years ago and her and her mother dont spend very much time together anymore. But when a cougar attacks Cora and she is saved by a siren named Tuari, they go through the challenges of the water curse together. Even though Cora and Tuari live together and they know each other quite well, does Cora know Tuari well enough? Is Tuari all she says she is? Will Cora ever put the pieces of the mysterious attacks together or will it lead to a place she doesnt want to go?

~Kota~

As Cora turned towards the water I notice large scars going down her back. I walked up to her quickly and put my hand on her scars, "Cora what are those from?" She didn't turn around but just continued towards the water and then dove in. When she resurfaced I noticed her legs started to change, they formed together and then the grey and aqua scales grew all over her legs as her fins appeared. My mouth dropped open. Cora was a mermaid.

She looked at me with worry in her eyes, "Kota?" I couldn't say anything, "Kota please Im still me," I nodded slowly, "But with a tail" She smiled, "something like that." I don't know what it was but somehow I found the confidence to walk over and get into the water beside her. "H-how is this happening?" I asked her, "Um well a cougar attacked me, hence the scars on my back, and my friend Tuari changed me into a siren. If she hadn't have done so I would be dead." She looked very serious. "Kota I decided to show you because you are my best friend and I know I can trust you. I can trust you with this right?" I smiled, "Ofcorse you can, I don't really want you to be turned into a science experiment" She laughed.

So for the next little while we swam, talked and I got to learn about a new part of her, a part that I noticed she loved as much as I did.
