When I got home I went straight to my room, mom and dad were still out so I started my homework. Then I looked out my window and saw Cora in her black and white board shorts and royal blue bikini top with her long curly hair flowing halfway down her back. My goodness she was beautiful. Instead of being creepy and staring at her I threw a small pebble at her window. When she saw me she smiled and opened her window, "Hey! What are you up to right now?" I looked back at my homework that needed to be done, "Nothing why?" She looked unsure, as if she was worried to ask me something. "Want to come for a swim?" I smiled, "You bet! Where are we going?" She smirked, "Somewhere secret. Im driving." I nodded and then left to grab my swim shorts which were blue with black stripes. When I went down to open the door Cora was standing there, "Ready to go?" I nodded. We got into her car a light baby blue bug and started to drive off to her secret destination.

After a bit of silence in the car I asked, "So what makes this place so secret?" She looked at me for a second and then looked back at the road and said, "It's a place my dad and I found when we were hiking once. It's been my favourite place to swim ever since." That made me be quiet. I knew how much Cora's dad meant to her and how sad it was to have that policeman show up at her door and tell her he had died. Ever since she hasn't been quite the same but I can tell she has always tried her best to stay positive and happy about everything even though that had really impacted her. "Plus," Cora began to say interrupting my train of thought, "I have to show you something." I looked at her, curious, "What is it?" She looked worried as she started to park at the side of the road. "Kota just promise you will hear me out" I nodded slowly. What could she possibly be talking about?
