3. The Plane

Melanie had reached the airport; her plane was leaving in two hours. She was completely packed and had left no trace of existence of her at the house. Not even a single footprint.

She closed her eyes for what felt like 30 minutes, but when she opened them, the two hours had passed by, and her flight was boarding. She had found her seat, and relaxed herself in it. Suddenly, a very attractive guy sat down in the seat beside her. He seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't remember where she had noticed him from.

"Excuse me for staring, but you look familiar and I just can't place my finger on it," she let out gently.

He laughed and replied, "I'm Harry Styles. You probably noticed me from a band called One Direction?"

I shook my head, gesturing no. "A band? That's cool, though."

He laughed. "Yeah. It's really fun."

She thought for a moment and said excitedly, "I know where I've seen you from! Magazines. Pictures on the internet. My friends are always posting to you."

He laughed and smiled. He tried to make small talk, asking me about my life and why I was going to London. He seemed very disappointed and surprised when I told him that I was "running away" because my family abuses me. Disappointed because I had nowhere to go when I got to London, and surprised at the fact that a parent could actually treat their child like that.

Before I fell asleep with my head on Harry's shoulder, he had offered me a room in his house with a friend of his, Louis. He told me that I would love Louis and that I would love being there. I tried not to sound too desparate when I accepted the offer, but he understood the appreciation.

He was a really nice guy.
