Double the Styles

Tess Jennings was one of those girls that when you look at her you'd probably think, "Wow she must be that stuck up popular girl like in the movies." And for the record, that's half true. She was popular and pretty like in the movies, but not stuck up. She was a sweet, caring, beautiful, young girl. All the guys would hit on her & comment dirty things. But all she did was look down on them in disgust. Despite her popularity, her best friend was the last person you'd expect. Marcel Styles. The down-look dork of the school that everyone teased. Everyone bullied him despite the fact his best friend was "the popular girl" and no one bothered Tess about be best friends with "that dork". It was a weird system, and the two hated it. But suddenly something happens that might change everything in their lives. Marcel's twin brother is released from reformatory school after getting in serious trouble. A story about a boy no one ever knew. His name? Harry Styles.

Chapter 9 - Fantastic

Tess' POV: "Dammit." I whispered furiously as I slammed my locker closed.

"Do not slam lockers Ms. Jennings." a teacher scolded me as she walked by.
"Sorry.." I fake apologized, rolling my eyes.

I walked to class and sat down in my regular seat. I set my books down under my desk and laid back in my chair, rubbing my temples with my thumbs.

"Hey Marcel." I awkwardly moaned. I was so stressed I didn't even care if I sounded like a zombie.

I looked up at him confused, "Uh hello?" I waved my hand in front of his eyes, which were apparently staring into oblivion.

"Huh? Oh, sorry. Hey." he responded, dazed.
"You okay..? Is something wrong?" I asked.
"No, just tired, that's all."
"Okay.." I knew he was lying. However in my state at the moment, I was going through too many emotions to figure out why he was lying to me. So I'll get to that later.

Harry sat in the vacant seat on my left, "Hey." he smiled at me.
"Hey." I smiled back. I thought I heard a groan come from beside me, but when I turned to Marcel he was just staring out the window.

"Okay.." I whispered to myself.

The teacher came in and sat down at the front of the class. Despite the fact that her job is to monitor the class, she didn't give much notice to the fact that about 3 students just left the classroom, probably planning on skipping school. I rolled my eyes at her, not that she took note of that either.

"Is she always like that?" Harry chuckled, clearly noticing our teacher's lack of, well, everything. She didn't notice how loud we were, or if anyone left the classroom, or even if we tried to talk to her she probably wouldn't realize it.

I laughed, "Yeah pretty much. But don't get your hopes up. She's really the only one. Every other teacher is crazy strict."
"Awhhhhhhhh," he sighed over-dramatically, making me giggle.
"You have a cute laugh." he smiled, flashing is perfect teeth. My cheeks heated up, only causing him to chuckle.

A petite blonde girl came up to us. Well, she came up to Harry.

"Hey Harry, I'm Rayna." she grinned at him, shooting out her hand for him to shake while twirling a peice of her strawberry blonde hair in the other.
"Hello Rayna, it's nice to meet you."
"Wow, that's a hot accent." she gushed, a little too flirty but whatever.
"Haha, uh thank you. Well I'm from England so..yeah." he laughed awkwardly.
"Ohh England. That's in London right?" she asked genuinely, causing me to burst out in laughter. But I smacked a hand over my mouth before the laugh escaped.

They both turned to me, Harry smiling, clearly thinking what I was thinking as well. Rayna on the other hand, gave me a cold glare before returning her focus to Harry.

"Well, if you need a tour around the school I can show you around?" she asked in an attempt to flirt. Although Harry on the other hand, clearly wasn't interested. It was funny seeing her like this.
"Um, actually I already had a tour around the school..but thanks for the offer." he tried to be as polite as possible, but I could tell by the expression on his face he was extremely uncomfortable which made me chuckle.

Just as Rayna was about to start up again, the bell rang and everyone exited the room. She rolled her eyes, but gave Harry one last wink before heading off.

Marcel finally came up to me after being silent for all of homeroom, "Hey, about tonight..."
"Yeah, what about it? Is everything alright?" I asked him.
"Everything's fine, I just can't make it."
"What, why?"
"..homework. Maybe another time?" he smiled at me, before heading off to his locker.

Marcel never cancels over homework. He always has time to do it, he never has to make time for it. Something's up with him, and I'm gonna find out.

I sighed, "Fine.." as I switched out my books Mandy came up behind me.
"Hey, so Marcel told me he couldn't make it tonight, so maybe I could ditch and you and Harry can just hangout tonight?" she suggested.
"Um, why are you so keen on Harry and I hanging out?"
"Well I figured you could ask get him to ask me out tonight instead of tomorrow. I mean the sooner the better, right?"
"Right.." I gave her my best attempt at a smile, but judging by the confused look she's giving me, I don't think it was very convincing. Eventually she let the  subject go and headed off to class. I closed my locker and rushed through the hallways-which at this point were practically empty since everyone went to class-with way too much on my mind. Now I have to tell Harry we're hanging out tonight. But he thinks this is a date. But it can't be because I have to get him together with Mandy because I was being stupid and agreed to all of this. And on top of that something is wrong with Marcel and I need to figure out what it is, then fix it. Fantastic.

Author's Note: This chapter got erased. TWICE. Like what the heck! So I had to re write it and it's not as good or as long as before and I'm sorry :(  But I hope you liked it anyways? Aha
